My Bloody Valentine - All I Need Lyrics
You don't ask what I need to do
When I come back you'll need to choose
Oh, whatever I ask you take, take, take, take
Oh, this is all I need to say
No need to say how close can we lie
Oh, we don't talk, you know all I need
Oh, this is what I need to take
You don't ask what I need to do
When I come back you'll need to choose
Oh, all I ask you do, do, do, do
Ooh, this is all I need from you

My Bloody Valentine All I Need Comments
Such a weird song. I love it
An exercise on how to make a couple of guitars sound like an orchestra playing in a canyon. Love it.
I've always wanted to play this over the sound system of a large space like a shopping mall or an airport. Not loud, just at an ambient volume in the background and watch to see if anyone notices and how they'd react. I think it'd be a fun experiment.
This song just blew me away in 95 (when I discovered MBV) and shaped my music taste for the rest of my life
Bought from Highway 61 brum. Live institute brum '91.
Remember pulling the car over when this came on the radio the week of release... didn't want to get taken out by the planes landing overhead...
Still SUCH a manic pop thrill...
The future that never got expanded on... Brit pop came on the heels of this.... Such a crime
A masterpiece within a masterpiece.
the sound of dinosaurs crying....
nigga i sleepy this so good
It's sounds like someone's whole world falling
Collapsing in on itself, like a black hole.
勿論素敵だよ。MEG
If Shoegaze can be explained through a song, this is the one.
life in a flash
heart beating
alchemy of sounds and images
going life, death coming ...
a new beginning .... ...
a smile
hope... fear...
hail Sunn 0))) !!
Isn't Anything is just as good as, if not better than Loveless in some ways.
I just came to the same conclusion.
+georgeharrison70 It certainly sounds better live, some of the tracks sound ferocious! You Never Should is particularly monstrous. Might be down to the fact Colm's drumming got to stretch out on this album, and he was too ill to do the same on Loveless. I love this band.
+georgeharrison70 eh, the EPs are nothing to scoff at either, and I love MBV as well. all of their output is beyond fantastic.
+georgeharrison70 also agree
much better.
When the months go by and I come back to Loveless, I remember these Isn't Anything tracks and how beautiful they are.
:-) mmmmmmm
Youre not alone. The bass in this song is perfect.
This song is crazy... Memories of buying this cd on a trip to London, Tower records, Picadilly Circus... Great days...
Blissfull and gentle noise
This song defines the borders of shoegaze. You can't go further than that. It's only noise there.
Shoegazer style was decided by this song.
I guess heaven sounds like this
am I the only one who can hear the song's heartbeat?
Me too...
_as a sound and visual alchemy_
utterly Sublime & decadent ...& blissful...
i heard radiohead made a completely different song which is good in its own right but has nothing to do with this one
Always prefer kevin's singing... this and Moog Song are my favs..
both beautiful and completely fueled by hate..
i heard radiohead made a cover of this song, but then changed the song but kept the title b/c their version wasn't as good.

Opium dreamscapes, try it!
An amazing cliff of sound !
Chinese mountain range covered in snow, but it's warm out
Underwater in a coral reef :)
@cardigansarecool haha thats epicly funny, yet I'm sure some people would sincerely comment that. you would need a book just to chart out all the bends and whammy pulls, then the color blue would have to be mapped out, then of course all the fuzzy white parts and don't forget those black swirls that quickly swell into color again.
@pigobenis lol got to give you a thumbs up for that visualization
MBV give me all i need.
its like a heartbeat..and the words are strait to the point---as if your heart is speaking... hmmm coincidence from someone half asleep
@pigobenis
That deserves to be top comment. Possibly the most accurate description of the song yet. Fucking thumbs it up everyone.
Kevin Shields you are not of this earth. Please give us more music.
I remember playing this across a field at 5:00 am ish (or earlier) very early summer morning in 1991 - went along with a mate who was into Night fishing, got bored sitting by the pond, and walked off playing 'Isn't Anything' at full volume on a tape deck (ghetto) across the fields - remember holding it up in the air and blubing tears (universe - this is f. me - you can't beat this). Pure elation.
It's like a heartbeat.
First time tripping while listening to MBV - this song feels like heaven.
can u upload all the songs from this album plz? thanks
its the pulse of anticipation and awkward, nervous excitement
This is like being in Hawaii or whatever your favorite travel destination is, but you're there for the last day, sitting there, enjoying and you are about to leave and go back home.
You know, there's a spiritual bliss here that makes my soul want to shed...
one of my favs from MBV and yeah, so underrated.
i couldn't imagine seeing this live...i would probably die from happiness given to me by the decayed falling guitar back drops that take over my body.
This song is so damn underrated...my fav my bloody valentine song.
