Gosh, they are so great. Admittedly, I'm disappointed Mike decided to drop GD in the song. I've always enjoyed showing their old stuff to my son, and I can't in clear conscience show him this one.

@Joshua Jones you are right, you can't. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't shield your kids from anything. If your value system tells you it is okay to take the Lord's name in vain, then I could understand how you would be okay with letting your kids listen to this. If your values are from the Bible, then that is a completely different story.

If you want an explanation is simple: Purist Christians aren't the ones who need to be loved and cared for in this world. Purist Christians who keep to them selves are hypocrites. This hypocrisy of preaching to the choir is at the core of the Christian music industry.

The place light is needed is not the the pews, or on the pulpit. It's in the darkest places of our world. Hypocrites with their fake holier than thou attitude will never understand that. They worship Jesus without even trying to understand these Words. As such, Jesus ends up little more than a pedestal for their purest, holier than thou agenda. Meanwhile the people out there, helping others, bringing light into the world, imperfect as they may be, are the ones who do real good.
