Mushroomhead - The Final Act Lyrics
Wide eyed sleepers death in motion daylight creepers wearing all night
pain bleeding moments spilling over non-existing as they crawl out
into a world that calls them real sign the contract it's the final act matter
of fact better take a step back relax the show must go on no one
so on and so on as if under mass hypnosis the wide eyed sleepers
won't be heard if asked could you decide what any man is worth
could you decide?
The steal it with a handshake seal it with a smile it feels
like an earthquake treats you like a child defeats you
with your mistakes leaves you in denial deceives you
in the first place lied to all the while they can't see anymore
how their wide eyes have made them blind in spite of themselves

Mushroomhead The Final Act Comments
Here is Scot with his band at the time, This Tortured Soul

eu demorei 15 anos pra achar essa incrível musica!
What the hell? did Mushroomhead get Brandon Boyd from Incubus to sing in this song? Lol 😂😂😂😂
My brother passed away at 29 4 years ago. My last promise to him was that I was going to take him to a Mushroomhead concert. He got
Really sick a week before the show and he passed after being bed ridden in the hospital for a month. I played this at his funeral. I wish could have kept my promise.
Great vocals this Scott guy has, his range goes from Patton to Layne Staley
Sounds like Patton but also Brandon Boyd from Incubus
Sucks that we never got to hear Jeffrey sing this
People talk shit about Nu Metal because they put most bands in the same bag, when they think Nu Metal they think Limp Bizkit or Linkin Park (Not that there's anything wrong in liking those bands) but there's so much more unique quality bands out there Mushroomhead is a good example.
quality x
Been in love with this for 15 years.
i love this song perfeckt
good music..shame they are only a shell of a once great band now
And I thought to be alone with such thoughts..
I know i miss the Superbuick era...
Thank you for saying the truth. Like the war inside, the dream is over, solitaire unraveling, it's all on such a different level than what is out now by them. I LOVED when j man kicked in his heaviness to compliment the clean vocals
Something about this song just sticks with me, it's always been my favorite Mushroomhead song.
Lyrics:
Wide eyed sleepers
death in motion
daylight creepers wearing all night pain
bleeding moments
spilling over
non-existing as they crawl out into a world that calls them real
sign the contract, it's the final act
matter of fact, better take a step back, relax
the show must go on, no one
so on and so on
as if under
mass hypnosis
the wide eyed sleepers fall into mass graves
they'll feel safer in the dirt
their own opinions won't be heard
if asked, "could you decide what any man is worth?"
sign the contract, it's the final act
matter of fact, better take a step back, relax
the show must go on, no one
so on and so on
could you decide?
They steal it with a handshake
seal it with a smile
it feels like an earthquake
treats you like a child
defeats you with your mistakes
leaves you in denial
deceives you in the first place
lied to all the while
( they can't see anymore... )
( how their wide eyes have made them blind in spite of themselves! )
i was there,cleveland astrodome 96

Mushroomhead's greatest song of all time.
This song was stuck in my head for days but only the first words sang. Drove me insane, every time I googled it some country song came up. Got lucky today.
