@Darin LaGarry so we should not lable anything????? So my dog is now my car. My house is now called my shower. And music is now called windows. Because even the word music puts a label on this. We classify everything in our lives to maintain an order and construct. Classification is labeling. And we classify music by genre. Now I know in today's messed up society that people are wanting to remove labels from everything in life. Music, gender, sexuality, however there are still those of us that know that construct, order, and labels, allow us to live an orderly existence. And without labels we truly just live in a land on confusion where anything can be called whatever the person feels like calling it, and if the rest of the world cannot understand what they're referring to or talking about than we are just being insensitive to them. Which by the way, that's another label.

@Elijah Baird I think the point is, before you ran off the rails, is that Kacey is a songwriter. Yes, she is influenced by country because that is what she knows. But, she is not constrained by it creatively. If it makes you feel better to judge her music by labeling it, then feel free to do so. I just happen to disagree.
