Coldplay is fucking awesome and this statement is weird. Pretty sure most people who hate on Coldplay are trying a bit too hard to be "real rock fans" and never actually listened to a Coldplay record. Parachutes and AROBTTH are both masterpieces and as much as I love Muse, Martin is a more diverse composer. I get the hate around the 'mainstream pop' side of Coldplay, but even the most recents albums have some really nice songs too. Go home man, you're drunk, let musicians be musicians.

Got kicked out of a cathedral once for playing Tony's Theme from Scarface on the organ. Turns out the phrase "pulling out all the stops" is true, it sounded crap until I pulled out everything in sight. SO loud, the organ is such an epic instrument! Shame it was in the days when phones didn't really record video in quality worth watching, would have been a right laugh to put that on YouTube....

And I was lucky enough to hear it live. It was the most powerful moment in the whole gig (this and citizen erased, that one just puts into tranсe). It's like my mind was hammered with this massive sound kicking all the thoughts out and I couldn't breathe. Imagine what it does to a 16 year girl. It's been almost a decade and I still consider this first Muse gig as the best day of my life (and I had plenty of very good ones)
