Every album is different, you can't fault them for experimenting. Even if you didn't like this album, the next one will be very different. It's not like every old song was like this one anyways.

I miss Muse, I mean, this Muse. I know what you must be thinking, if you are here you are probably a fan, maybe you are even as fan as I used to be once, you love Muse more than anything else, it has become the most important thing in your life. I have loved this band more than I can describe, the music, lyrics, concerts, and the band members, those three (we all know it's actually four) incredible human beings. I know what you must be thinking because I thought the same then, I always defended them. However I think now I can't deceive myself anymore, I can't deny that they're not there anymore. The three last songs they released, they will never worth even the worst ( i mean, least good) song of the others album. It sounds like they're dead, like their creativity died with the arrival of their success. I miss them, really and it saddens me, but I am also aware that a band must have an ending, people change and I am happy for Matt, Dom and Chris because they are now living a very good life, they deserved to succeed and it worked. It's just that, yeah, when listening to this, I get terribly melancolic.
This songs sounds so accurate to what I feel about Muse now, like a break up.

I absolutely love how the guitar sounds all lovey dovey even though the lyrics are dark and then the Interlude comes along and it's like "What? You still think this is a happy song. Well, check this riff out and then tell us if you find it happy then." Such a perfect transition from something lovely and soft (even though the lyrics are dark which I mentioned earlier) to something that is dark and forebode-ing which is shown in Interlude before turning into the next track Hysteria.
