This song is so inspiring to me. What a song writer this man was. So much talent. I never knew he existed until about 2 weeks ago. I listen to this song everyday and it lifts me up. Wonderful to say the least.

Rich consistently encouraged us to hope & believe, no matter what happened around us.

I have always loved to listen to Rich's music as it speaks to my soul about the love of God the Agape unconditional love for me. I went and visited Rich's grave this a past spring and on the ground on the back of his head stone is the chorus from the song Hold Me Jesus which is probably right up there as being my favorite song of his next to Elijah. Had to listen to hold me Jesus while I was there at his graveside can't wait to meet you someday Rich in heaven and as a fellow musician play music with you before our lord Jesus

I never imagined how drastic this songs meaning would change for me. I struggled with depression as a teen and fell in love with this song. Now years later I sing this as I walk back and forth to the hospital where my little girl is in NICU. Born two months early she is truly a strong little miracle.

This song should be REQUIRED, MANDATORY listening/singing (it's usually my 1st am wakeup alarm on my phone) -Required LISTENING for everyone who has met, or been gurt by BAD + EVIL (like my brother's gambling addiction)...So THEY realize GOOD, God + love is more POWERFUL, and will always win...Just need to sometimes wait awhile for God's miracles, when not here you will one day experience many miracles + blessings, in heaven :)

19 years ago today he died--his music always moves me beyond what I can describe. I thank You, Lord, for what Rich left us.

there's a lot of those ragamuffins around. It's not about being like Jesus, but rather walking the way He walked and then your not making it happen, it's making you. Being broken is being willing to be powerless, and weak in your strength, so you can be strong by allowing God's love, peace, and joy to flow through you.

Just discovered him. What a beautiful example of what Christianity really is. He has inspired me to be more Christ like.

I just rediscovered his music, Jacqueline... truth & beauty, beauty & truth, that points us to the Grace, Majesty & Love of God through Jesus! Rich was such a remarkable follower of OUR Lord!

I watched the movie ragamuffin and  cried. I understand his journey. We are all Ragamuffins.

i will never watch that movie. his brother didn't keep him, that is for sure. his brother exposed him for a cash out. sad. that is all this world is about anymore. money. i don't care about his personal life. i care about the songs that are so inspired and inspiring. his legacy lives on through his music. not his personal life. Thank God for Rich Mullins.. without him i'd be completely lost musically speaking in my life right now

@objectivitycave11 I wouldn't have known his music if not for that movie. It's not such a bad thing as you make it seem. His life story was actually inspiring as well.

@The Jet how much of his life did they really story? you are mistaking my disdain for all biographies for me not liking this particular one. this is about ideas. i am not critiquing the particular story, i think all of them are trash... they only put out what they want us to know/see regardless of who the story is about. I watch the movie 3 or 4 times a year...I know exactly where I was when it came on the radio that he had died in a car crash.I listen to him all the time on you tube... I called a Christian radio and requested "Hold Me Jesus" they replied with a non answer so to speak...I messaged them back and said you must be very young I suggested they research Rich Mullins before they write a non answer...He is and has been my favorite singer since the first time I heard him...Yes I am a Ragamuffin !!! I just turned 71 a month ago. Yes he still sees me through I think we all have times of struggle...

Rich still helps me... been struggling. He still makes me cry and cry.

I've been there, to the point I didn't believe He existed, but He set me free.

I lost a dear friend that way two weeks ago, and while it is hard for me to pray right now, I am asking right this moment that you will be able to find the strength to go on.
