Mudvayne - The Patient Mental Lyrics
Patient,
Just as I am,
As always,
Watch the time go by,
Nothing left to pass by,
Drunken little people,
Work away in me,
Why won't they leave me, leave me alone
When I don't even want me, want me
I have to, kill the words,
Before they, form my sentence,
The sentence that is me,
Judged by those that carry
That comfort me by strangling
Why won't they leave me, leave me alone
When I don't even want me,
The patient mental sits and stares
An idle mind that's empty, screaming
Staring back
Why won't they leave him, leave him alone
Drive by our war ship...the hate driven envy
They have to kill the meal,
Before they can consume,
Consume my inner peace,
Without the understanding,
Trapped inside the works,
The hands are moving me
The patient mental sits and stares
An idle mind that's empty, screaming
Staring back
A passive speared ritual
Drive by our war ship...the hate driven envy
Release me,
Let me go,
Why do they observe me?
There's nothing here to cure,
I can see the silhouettes,
That sit behind the mirror
I'm just like a clock upon the wall
Always moving, but never going anywhere
The patient mental sits and stares
An idle mind that's empty, screaming
Staring back
Why won't they leave him, leave him alone
A passive speared ritual
Drive by our war ship...the hate driven envy

Mudvayne The Patient Mental Comments
My favorite album from mudvayne
Mudvayne has alot of cool tracks but this one is my fav. Its hard to believe or except mental condition or admitting you need help. This song sums it up through the prospective of the patient. Love it.
Fuck your commercials!!!
I love the obvious darkness of this song.
It aint ld.50. But it kicks ass! Lots of melody
Música 👌🏻 perfeita 🤘🏻🇧🇷
Reminds me of what it felt like to be diagnosed with special needs as a kid. Powerful lyrics and imagery.
I feel you bro...
why won't they leave me leave me alone when i don't even want me want me
WHY WONT THEY LEAVE ME ALONE!! describes my relationship with work and annoying people lol 😂😂
Song brings me back to the silver skies of winter.
2:57 perfect
Yes! That part of the song is the most beautiful sound I've ever heard! The lyrics, the sound of his voice, the guitars, bass, drums, everything.
I agree it kind of sooths all madness going on with the instruments and mellows you out.
This is poetry
Ryan Overby Can’t believe how underrated this band is, their sound and lyrics are unique
That's what's up....bang that shit! But make sure to actually hear this.
Ryan and Trump, you both just won the internet...

Thank you Chad.-Davey
been the story of my life for the past 13 years
Dude! That's one of my favorite lines of all time! It takes me back to when I was 13 riding around with my parents to wherever the destination happened to be just sitting in the back looking out the window completely ignoring the scenery listening to my cd player.... I was reading along with the lyric book but stopped once i read "I'm just like a clock up on the wall, always moving but never going anywhere" I thought I understood how profound those lyrics really were back then or at least that they struck at my heartstrings... I was fascinated by the lyrics, the imagery, and later on in life experienced the true manifestation of these symbolic words.... Wasting precious time in ones life is a terrible thing that we can never recover time can be chipped away but never added to and despite the hardships at least one valuable piece of information comes to mind that i'd like to share..... "If you have a problem without a solution why rush to find the solution? If you have a problem that you know the solution to what's the rush to fix it? The only thing in life that has no remedy is death and so long as you're alive realize that time is on your side. Each and everyone of us are but a ripple in time leaving evidence of our existance and no matter how you choose to spend your time you'll find there will always be troubles, concerns, and wasted time. So long as you're still breathing the manifestation of remedy will come to you of this there is no doubt." so tick on clock i live on.
💜💜 Good ole days!!
My personal favorite mudvayne song
Patient,
Just as I am,
As always,
Watch the time go by,
Nothing left to pass by,
The minutes follow me,
Drunken little people,
Work away in me,
Why won't they leave me, leave me alone
When I don't even want me, want me
I have to, kill the words,
Before they, form my sentence,
The sentence that is me,
Judged by those that carry
The patient sits in cradled arms
That comfort me by strangling
Why won't they leave me, leave me alone
When I don't even want me,
The patient mental sits and stares
An idle mind that's empty, screaming
Staring back
Why won't they leave him, leave him alone
A passive speared ritual
Drive by our war ship...the hate driven envy
They have to kill the meal,
Before they can consume,
Consume my inner peace,
Without the understanding,
Trapped inside the works,
The hands are moving me
The patient mental sits and stares
An idle mind that's empty, screaming
Staring back
Why won't they leave him, leave him alone
A passive speared ritual
Drive by our war ship...the hate driven envy
Release me,
Let me go,
Why do they observe me?
There's nothing here to cure,
I can see the silhouettes,
That sit behind the mirror
I'm just like a clock upon the wall
Always moving, but never going anywhere
The patient mental sits and stares
An idle mind that's empty, screaming
Staring back
Why won't they leave him, leave him alone
A passive speared ritual
Drive by our war ship...the hate driven envy
