Mudvayne - Prod Lyrics
Emotions inside us troubling,
The hatred inside us escalating,
The sickness inside us keeps you weak,
The masses inside of us suffering they are bleeding,
The calling inside us sick with greed,
Cannot receive the obvious
Line up cattle and cut the necks
Swat at the flies omit disgust
The leaders inside us posturing,
The pollution inside of us suffocating me,
The science inside us menacing
The will that's inside of us its dying end is coming
Line up cattle and cut the necks
Drain us of life and cleanse the mess
Wash me off inside, wash me off inside
We're killing ourselves killers
Goddamn we fucked up the circumstance,
Too late to save us from ourselves,
Callous minds against trust and confidence,
Too late to give a damn now
Too late to save us from ourselves, too late to make it all go
away,
Too late to beg pardons from the mother, too late to give a damn
Now we'll sit and wait
Wait wait for the coming. of the end
Wait for the coming the killing the ending the plight of man
Deserving no mercy expelling by god's hand,
It's okay the ending it's over no more pain .
Emotion the hatred the sickness the calling
Cannot receive the obvious
Line up cattle and cut the necks
Swat at the flies omit disgust
Drain us of life and cleanse the mess

Mudvayne Prod Comments
One of my favorite mudvayne songs...
This is more than tool worthy
That breakdown on 3.43 should be illegal. Jesus Christ one of the best breakdowns I've ever heard in my entire life. I always listen to that part to lift some heavy stuff in the gym 💪💪💪
Best CD ever, just did a vocal cover of this if you're interested https://youtu.be/rgOYHwKYL_s
Super underrated song on a very underappreciated album...
This album was a big part of the soundtrack of my youth... and this song especially is amazing!!! Check out the vocal cover I did of this song in my channel!!!
Mudvayne é vida!
Fuckkkkkkkkk
It's okay. DNA. It's alright. No more pain.
The bass at 4:06 gave me a boner
Great song and album . One of the best of all time any genre
Aren't the lyrics here wrong? I think he's saying "the culling" that's in reference to population control or separation of a heard of animals some to slaughter? Correct me if I'm wrong.
Anything and anyone can be culled.
You nailed it Star Man TY
Prod the shit outta my ears
wow, mudvayne have made a lot more songs than I thought.
One album wonder
Trumble Research Fuck off and the end of all things to come.
DaNZ 27 ?
@Trumble Research the 1 after LD50 was also good but not as good.
Cleanse the mess
This album is the most progressive metal album of all time.
Csuar Fla42088 Ehhhhhhhh, certainly not. Been listening to prog for a looong time. But, I add, this album has never gotten the credit for being as progressive as it is. I grew up listening to nü metal, and somehow overlooked this one for the longest time. I was so giddy once I got around to it, because it’s easily the best work to come out of that era imo.
Daniel Satterfield , I agree. I should have said for its era.
This is the only album you will ever need! AND you don't even know it
This song is awesome. The instrumentation is great.
Read the lyrics very carefully and compare to current astronomical events. Seriously. Open minded people will, or already have noticed what Chad is speaking of.
Mudvayne really pioneered their own sound. Almost 20 years later and I still get down to this song and the album for that matter.
Really love the creativity and syncopation of the melody and drumming.
I think history will reflect positively on Mudvayne and remark they departed too soon.
This whole album is a masterpiece.....
Sensei Corey the more I listen to the more I think, Jesus this is deeply complicated and must have been a headache to create lol
Fucking amazing band!
I ENJOY HOW IT SAYS LYRICS AND THERE ARE NONE...THIS IS THE LOVE..I LOVE THIS SONG AND WHOEVER POSTED THIS...YOUR GENIOUS SPEAKS LYRICS...YES..
i actually hear quite a bit of tool influence in this
3:40 T H I C C R I F F
I love how the bass comes in at 3:42 then at 3:44 it EXPLODES!!
quede os br mano?
This song "meat is murder"... I think that's the point...
this is a special album, they never came close to it after. But i still like all their shit too. This album though.....
Pattycakeslikespie1 the album after this was close imo but this is their best and 1 of my all time fav.
The best song they recorded to my ears. Death Blooms and Severed are up there too.
Dude check out the techiness to the song "IMN." Everything and Nothing is also lovely. Pleasure seeing you here!
Yes this song has so much going for it. The bass is hypnotizing
@
Stoned Meadow Of Doom I really like your channel dude, I really dig stoner and doom.
Ryan M. is a beast, my idol bassist
FYI, there isn't a better bass player in this genre
Ryan Harris check his new stuff, he may be the best in general
@Justin Wilder there's no discussion man, Ryan Martinie beats all nu metal bass players. He's one of the best bass players out there.
Add fieldy bro
This album alone murders Slipknot's entire discography.
@Fernando What you said is true but slipknot while mainstream is way better than any death metal bands. The problem with Death metal is that while the music portion is heavy its almost always undone when the lame as growling starts, the "singers" always sound stupid and like dogs barking into a microphone. Slipknots singer (and mudvyanes) actually has a very intense cool intimidating scream and they also can be melodic when they want to. I used to like Deicide and Cannibal Corpse and all the "edgy" shit as a teenager but now I see it for what it is, a bunch of talentless hacks who could never make it as a musician without the gimmick of satan.
Mudvayne was better, the end. Slipknot lasted longer yes but the rhythm section between drums and bass alone proved that, chad had a better metal sound and more emotion that Corey. And there’s not 50 of these guys lol
You guys do know that clown from slipknot produced this album.. ain't nobody can diss on slipknot now lol
Being a long time Slipknot fan, even having seen them live, I can say I agree. I never knew about this album until recently and every single song I've heard as I go along becomes my favorite song at the time.
Follow the leader life is peachy and ld50 is the best album for me
This whole album blows my mind away! Good shit!
One of my all time favorite. They out did themselves with this album they could not repeat. that is for sure.
"open your mind" to the right things :)
The End of All Things to Come was a pretty good followup. It was the same thing but much tighter and more layered. Every song on LD 50 and The End was thoroughly great.
You should have been listening to it 15+ years ago. It was life changing.
Probably my favorite song ever, seriously...
02:40 - 03:30 that bass... omg...
+Sercan Uzun The bassist in this band is LEGENDARY!
the base is very similar to Tool's base
prof.xavier the bro *bass
I'm a guitarist and I love how the guitar takes a backseat to the bass in a lot of their songs. They really made some great music on this album. It's ironic I remember when MTV started playing Dig and I didn't like it. I just thought they were a nu metal fad. Then I heard Death Blooms and loved it. I got this album and had a hard time getting through it. It was just too dissonant and abstract. Now I appreciate it for the masterpiece it is, Dig included.
I honest to god think he used a fretless bass.
I'm getting heavy Tool vibes from this song and I love it
Definitely! It's like Tool and AIC combined!
They were all into the same sort of things at that time, ie Terrence mckenna and stuff of that nature
I'm going to do a bass cover of this song... Once I cover this line of requested songs: Dull Boy, Happy?, Schism, Same Ol'... Prod's going on the queue now
man, this entire album has helped me through my toughest times. I was severely addicted to meth for 2 long years. I spent most of that time on the streets of Phoenix. 2 hot ass summers and 2 cold ass winters, and the entire time I knew I was killing myself. this album was the soundtrack to my life and I will always be thankful that I had it at that time. ive been sober for 9 months now and I have no intention of going back to that life. Im living again, but hearing this makes me remember where I came from and how appreciative of Mudvayne I am. I wish I could let them know their music helped me keep on keeping on in those dark times, truly a blessing.
Same bro, kill the alien
Joe Neal Awesome story brother...people like yourself are my inspiration to always remember that no matter what, the sun will rise again when the darkness comes creeping in.
Recovering heroin addict from Baltimore here, and yea man, I feel the same. Just please do keep on keeping on. My best friend is dead, and his death saved my life. You ever need to talk, you know who I am, now.
I'm currently in a meth and fentanyl addiction, it's been a few years and now it's at its peak. I'm to a point where I have a hard time finding any reasons to go on with life, not in a suicidal way, but in a way that I feel no reason to do anything with myself, I feel unworthy. And this album definitely makes me feel something. The way the lyrics are written describes deeply felt emotions and its helped me immensely. Thank you, Chad Gray and Mudvayne.
I'm at the end. I love this band and they are so special. I'm not meant for this world.
I have tried to be strong and I've never hurt anyone and ive fought all the way.
I don't believe in hope or karma anymore. I am unable to comprehend the level of inhumanity jjj
I just realized the intro to this song is near identical to the intro to Sober by Tool. Still love Mudvayne all the same though, wish they'd kept this sound through the years though.
If I had to pick one song that was my all time favorite, this is it. Pure poetry.
Poor bassist, he's just trying to play something good and those hack musicians just keep on harassing him and ruining his works, He needs to put a restraining order on them.
@venusfly9108 If you can't pick up on the chemistry all these band members have together in this album then I don't know what to tell ya.
Most under-rated, overlooked bassist EVER!!
@DarthMohammed Too true
Chi cheng of deftones most underrated RIP brother
Tyler is Hyper RIP Chi :’( Love the Deftones, my favorite band
Yeah, definitely underrated, even by his own band, which is evident with how easy they left Ryan and Matt. Completely forgot about Ryan and Matt, and made their own shit band. So now Ryan and Matt are looking for a new band.
Ryan is a fuckin monster.. Hearing that wacky shit he does in ''internal primates forever'' made me wanna play bass back in 2001.. Unbelievably good musician.
That last line makes the song for me
Right. They really do know how to compose some jams, and add instrumentals and lyrics that can be slipped in, in a very melodic and satisfying way. Most of which, do indeed make the whole song, like adding an exclamation point.
Cleanse the mess, DarkRighteousness, Shout out!
Best song ever.
I feel this is one song that will go down as an OPUS piece. Shows the true abilities... His clean to scream and the time changes... Raw and beautiful.
I'd choose Severed.
Drain us of life and cleanse the mess.
It's OK buddy, Richard Inman, it's happened to me with the whole cd. It's pray for the coming of the end. The ending it's over. No more pain. Emotion, the hatred, the sickness, THE COMING ;)
this song is
for our men at war i hope they are ok.....
* 'drain us of life, and cleanse the mess'
CANNOT RECIEVE THE OBVIOUS!........... LINE UP CATTLE AND CUT THE NECK!........... SWAT AT THE FLIES OMIT DIGUST!!!!!......... treat us with life and cleans the mess......
this song brings tears to my eyes every fuckin time.... every time.... i pray everything ends so smoothly when it comes.... FUCK!!!!
On the live DVD it shows him just tapping the string instead of picking them, I think that's how he gets that sound.
Experienced guitar techs.
how the fuck does he get that guitar sound!?!
drumrocka wah pedals I bet
