Mudhoney - If I Think Lyrics
I forgot how to breathe
I forgot just what I need
Saw the world laid down before me
I saw everything so small
If I think I think of you
I open my eyes
Watch the sky turn blue
I felt so good I almost forgot
All about you
I forgot how to cry
I forgot that I could die
And I'm so sick of what I need
I could close my eyes and fall
If I think I think of you
I open my eyes
Watch the sky turn blue
I felt so good I almost forgot
All about you

...Another cool song from this group. Check out some do-it-yourself tshirt designs from old Mudhoney posters on my Facebook post page, Aug 19, 2018. It also shows you a good Mudhoney playlist on Youtube.
Will always love Mudhoney

So happy I was young during the 70's, 80's and 90's. Music made the hard times sweeter.
best decades to be alive
So sad i wasn't born back then :/
You were young for 30 years??
@worm skull I plan to be young for at least 60
@worm skull Why so hard to believe? I was in junior high in the 70s and was listening (thanks to two older brothers) the Ramones, buzzcocks, gang of four. Turned 14 in 1980 - so high school and college in the 80s. Dead Kennedy's, Circle Jerks (first show btw), black flag, replacements, cramps etc. And by the late 80's grunge was coming out into the early 90s. I was 24 in 1990 listening to Soundgarden, Mudhoney, Green River, Nirvana - all the SubPop bands. Hell I was still pretty young, at 34, in 2000. That started the post punk scene with White stripes, yeah yeah yeahs, the strokes. And now I am old, but still having fun. seeing Mudhoney tonight (trip down memory lane with the vids before hand) and seeing Melvins/redd cross next week!
One of the best songs on this side of the MIlky Way, ever.

zombie100379 Yeah, Mark always uses Christian bullshit in his lyrics. They try to make you self-conscious about the basic human functions, like breathing, something we SHOULD NOT focus on. Their intention is to damage other people as much as possible. That’s the main bad thing concerning Mudhoney: If you are adverse to CHRISTIAN BULLSHIT, then, Mark’s lyrics will throw you.
Vee Hickle Can you just enjoy the music like pls
I grew up on this shit!
Charles Stone 💖
Love this
Nirvana is a Fucking copy from Mudhoney
Yeah, Nirvana sounds entirely different. On top of that, if bands are around the same area and are linked, they tend to sound similar because that's how the movement starts.
Degirro yeah you're right. Alotta bands were just a bunch of friends. Including Mudhoney, Nirvana, Melvins list goes on
Same genre. This is how music evolves, my friend. Everything you listen to is a compilation of different styles before it. It would make sense that the music from the same era, same area sounds similar
Chris Braun hints the name the 'Seattle Sound'
✮Mr. Marock03✮ Kurt Cobain did help Mudhoney writing, kurt promoted this band, Kurt said this several times
simply... EPIC.
Favourite song from Superfuzz Bigmuff
My favourite would have to be either this or Mudride.
This whole scene was overlooked
Are you kidding? This sound dominated the 90s. All of America was wearing flannel and jamming to Nirvana and Soundgarden. Mudhoney made that happen.
I feel like Soundgarden forged their own future. They were there at the beginning.
Andy You are a joker
LOL thanks I needed a laugh
I feel it would fit perfectly in a movie.
Beck's Wood or a skate video :V
Something like drugs abuse and troubles
what I love about Underground tracks is how many thumbs up vs thumbs down they get plus the mega positive comments. Shows that UG music is so far beyond the MS tracks
i want this song played at my funeral.
it's more about "aboveground" people not finding these tracks, while the "underground" people always find the "aboveground" tracks and, thanks to their superiority complex, go downvote and flame in the comments.
this is so beautiful
excellent ce morceau!un de leur meilleur c sûr!!!
That's true.Jerry is an awesome writer he's not the singer Layne was but who is.Will is a good fill in and Jerry has wrote some good songs lkealways. It's kinda like watching Blind Melon with Travis. They're still good but no Hoon.
Hey dudes, I just wanted to let everyone know that some buddies and myself made a music magazine that features interviews with Ian Mackaye, Henry Rollins, Mark Arm and Jacob Bannon. You can view it online for free at signed magazine 3 Dot com. We're a bunch of broke college students, so we've resorted to atypical ways of telling people about our zine. Cheerz
yeap !!!!
They've got a new singer.
yes but want to see them now in 2012, where perhaps the formations are also changed and hear them play during the grunge 90s? therefore, right in the existenzialist and melancholy atmosphere of those years?
Maybe old,but fucking awesome for sure ! :)
I forgot how to cry, I'm not just quoting lyrics. I don't know why I'm telling you(tube.)
To be fair, tickets to see Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, AiC, and Tool are all astronomically priced.
And while Mudhoney may still be around they won't come within 300 miles of Ohio. They've consistently stuck to the northwest, Canada, and Australia for the last few years.
Oh well, Melvins next month in Cleveland and Dinosaur Jr the month after. Should be good.
Man, I'm younger than you and I've seen Mudhoney, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Faith No More, Tool, Joy Division/New Order and more along the same lines that I can't remember. Shut up about when you were born, because you can do just as much with your generation as any other. You just have to get out there and look and do it. In fact, most of these bands are still together touring. DO IT
Well to be honest with you, the corporations will not allow good bands to be heard. I try to share good music all the time and try to support good artists or see them if I have the money. It doesn't mean they will ever get the attention they deserve. People are literally brainwashed right now and/or being force fed crap.
Don't ask how I know, but username checks out.. 😳
please please please check out our band ALBION, like, subscribe and peace!!!
Is the father of grunge
mudhoney and green river! equally brilliant
Mark Lanegan is there too
shit you`re the king!
:)
there are a lot of very good band actually too.
this song is the story of my life right now
Me too! I'm old, but struggling to grow up ;)
@jordy45678 Pearl Jam kicks arse.
@StregattoAllucinato dude it blows...i listened to it and it sounds like little kids fucking around on a piano and a shitty drum track
@jordy45678 neither did i until i actually saw them live and i was blown away (n had a boner)
AMAZING - ESPECIALLY 2:22 - 2:31
" A cold dark night in the suburbs of Seattle" listen this song!
bel pezzo.. ottima band molto schietta
@GSF600BANDIT Shit I'm jealous, try being 15 and missing all your favourite bands because you're too young :(
jeez pearl jam sucks. their music is simply boring. They could maybe open up for Mudhoney, but actually I think pearl jam isnt good enough for that.
I LOVE THIS SONG! <3

I saw Nirvana support Mudhonney in '89... Shit I'm old ;)
Grundge is the best genre of music in history!
This Mister here pretty much created "grunge", next to Green River...hail him for that
Never thought I´d be weeping to this song, but well I am
@tristansdew
Wow that's a beautiful comparison you are absolutely right.
I opened my eyes, watched the sky turn so blue, I felt so good I forgot I was ****ing you! Amazing.
I went to Portland in 05 and they played this song live there. I was like "man, my whole life I've been searching for something so genuine, and I finally found it," when they were playing this song. I got knocked to the floor, but people were pretty cool and pulled me back up. That's what I'm talking about.
Fuckin' beautiful
@stuckin91 Lucky you, i wish i could have been born 5 years earlier, at least i'd still had listenned to Nirvana while they still played... =(
@stuckin91 luky you! :)...
I've been to see them off and on for 20 years...cool music isn't dead -every town has at least one cool band. Seriously. You just have to find it or start your own band.
Mudhoney still plays shows you know!
@stuckin91 what?! thats like the most awesome concert in the world!!! why was i born in 94?! Nirvana and Mudhoney are my favourite bands of all time!!! BLODDY HELL!!! FUCK!!
@stuckin91 i envy u
what a beautiful text..
Another fucking classic...!!!
This song is so sick!
@stuckin91 You're so lucky !
I hope it annoys you to receive this same message everytime. So i kindly send it to you... again. Enjoy !
@Mayubix Yeah I know, most people lump Nirvana in with shitty modern rock bands.
I like this song sofuckin'much.
@stuckin91 i wish i could've been that lucky :(
sounds like iggy pop
benirvana1 yes and for that reason is Great
beatiful indeed
so........good.. saw them at the pyramid nyc
Such a relaxing song.
@Yahtzeeification hey suckers fuck you ok!!just shut up
To me Grunge" is a poetic style with cool riffs , Not a group of bands from seattle.
When i tell people my favorite type of music is grunge. they roll their eyes . I don't think they get it.
im sure most of you commenters know what i mean.
me too damn it ! just one year old ..gahh
I completely agree, Is good to try changes, but not so sell your work to the fucking mainstream
should have been the other way round...
oh fuck, my impossible dream :(
too young
all the good bands are becoming sellouts? define sellout, and name some of these bands
nirvana, aic and pearl jam are also cool.can't deny it.but of course, idiots think of those three and think they know it all....
beAloneonTheStreet true. I’m 16 and been listening to mudhoney since I was around 13 grunge saved my life. 🌞
