MSG (Michael Schenker Group) - The Last Supper Lyrics

Moonlight and candles
At midnight's the feast
We sit round the table
Listening to the beast
Glasses are ringing
Give a toast, salute the host

I never posed the question
Which way to go, didn't care if it's right
I always followed my intuition
With the speed of light

So many dreams that crashed to the ground
A dance on the blade when all hopes falling down
So many lies on our way to the top
Tho' you tumble never drop
Here we are at the last supper

The magic's still in us
We fought thru' the years
In good times and bad times
With smiles and with tears
On this last supper
We'll unite, we will survive

We, we came - we saw - we conquered
We filled your souls with love and delight
And we brought the rock to your life
It's still so deep inside

So many dreams that crashed to the ground
A dance on the blade when all hopes falling down
So many lies on our way to the top
Tho' you tumble never drop
Here we are at the last supper

So many dreams that crashed to the ground
A dance on the blade when all hopes falling down
So many lies on our way to the top
Tho' you tumble never drop

So many dreams that crashed to the ground
A dance on the blade when all hopes falling down
So many lies on our way to the top
Tho' you tumble never drop
Here we are at the last supper

The magic is there. This is why I am driving from Tuscon AZ to Austin TX to see these great people on may 18th 2019. Life calls for goodness, and emotions for us all. The righteous will all be there. Rock and Roll will be alive for all the believers. The temple of rock will be there with all those great musicians that got me through so many hard times. Thanks for all the many years of the great music from all of you. This song says it all. Dead, or alive, I believed in all you people, and you never let me down. Rock will never Die!!!

@stefanveatch2 Hi, do you have any clue of what was happening right before Michael did this ? Sorry for my english speacking, I'm french 😅.
    Regards.

stefanveatch2 sounds kind of far fetched . Why would he attack some random guy in crowd especially while in middle of show

    stefanveatch2

I think we were to close to the stage left. The guy next to me was recording him on his camera. I think he got increasingly irritated. It was also very hot out,his last show on the american tour, and the drummer died a few months before. Paul Raymond died a few weeks earlier. He went for the camera after the rock bottom solo. Went back to the mic, a few fuck you things.and stormed off. He returned 5 min later to say some people are assholes, and finished with 30 min more of UFO songs. Maybe he felt used in his mind for being recorded? I felt everyone at that concert loved him dearly. I filmed him too with my cell phone. We love him so much. There were people we met that flew from Mexico City to see him In Austin TX. We were die hard fans. I would say many there were musicians themselves. It was not a Scorpions concert where many fans only know a few hits. I think he gets frustrated with the false feelings that he is underappreciated, and unrecognized . He may be conflicted about the big fame, but either way most people do not understand his genius. I would be upset also if I were him. I would not even talk about this If I were not so upset about the incident. Seeing him so pissed off was upsetting. ----There will never be another like him. That is why some wanted to record part of his last great stand. His last supper. I hope he understands that many are on his side, and we try to get it. -----Maybe I am looking to deep into it all. It was hot as hell, and people lose their temper. God fucken damn, did he play a great show!!!!!

To add, We want to believe heroes are robots. I imagine the pressure of living up to those expectations are very difficult. Put a massive creative mind into the mix,and you have a very tough life to live. I guess a freak out here and there is inevitable. The road is also a tough thing to deal with. I know, because I was a haz-mat over the road trucker. One of the reasons I did It was so I could listen to music for ever on that road. I did not care about the risks from the chemicals, I just wanted to listen to all these great bands, and not have a boss hanging over me. Always an alcoholic off the road, I think I understand why so many artists walk the line. That strange way of looking at things. The hurt, and the fear is there. I would like to thank Michael, Doogie, McAuley, Barden, Bonnet, and Chris Glen. And all the others involved in the war machine of some of the best music. Thanks again Doogie for signing my storm bringer album 3 times even know you were not on that one. (first time was when you were at the birth hill nightclub in jersey with Blackmore) --Also thanks Doogie for being so fucken cool every time I met you. My wife loves you!!! Rock on Michael!!!!
