These guys have an excellent sense of melody. Loved them as a kid in the 80s, still love em in 2019. But, this song is some PC BS and lacks balls.

They don't make Christian songs like this anymore.

So was Mr. Mister a stealth Christian band? This song is not even a subtle in it's spiritual content. They used Latian to hide it in Kyrie but this pretty in your face.

@Elizabeth McKinley Lyrics are by John Lang, though, Richard's cousin. Rich himself denied in a lot of interviews that they were or wanted to be seen as a Christian band.

Their music got a little too serious and started sounding kinda religious in tone.. still good tunes, but I think they massively overestimated the intelligence of the American music listeners at that time.

One of the best songs from one of the best albums by one of the best groups in music history, even if Richard Page is the worst lip syncher ever, haha.

I think the footage is from a live concert and editors just did their best to match it up.

Nope -- had to be an actual video shoot. Page stops playing completely in a number of spots (with his right hand to his chest), and that's an awfully small crown for such a huge production (large chorus on stage with them). And we never see any cameras on stage in any shot, which means they did multiple passes, which they always do in filming these kinds of music videos.

Richard Page is such a talented player and singer.  Could never understand why he wasn't a megastar.  At least Ringo has appreciation for his many gifts.  He's on tour with the All-Stars Band again this year (2014-2015 season)...puts the Justin Biebers of the world to shame.

Mr. Mister is a megastar. He just never sold his ass to Hollywood and the elites.

Richard Page was a star, although went under most people's radar in the UK back in the 80s though.... save for Broken Wings and Kyrie I guess! 'Go On' was a criminally underrated album as you say!

PS. If you don't have it, go to Richard Pages website and buy the long lost MM album Pull. Even though Steve Ferris is missed, it is as good as Go On! Drummer Pat Mastelotto shines... And the harmonies! Stunning!!!!

@MiggleMuggle It was taped at the Palace in Hollywood, California, USA. That venue is still there, but last I heard it had changed names - I haven't been there in years. It's on Vine Street, almost right across from the landmark Capitol Records building.

I was at the show/taping for this video! Wow, this brings back memories of a really fun night! I especially remember after every take of the song, the audience kept on singing the chorus over and over, the choir would sing along, and the band seemed pretty jazzed by it...lot of "little" memories too...so glad to finally see this video, I thought I never would!

Richard Page & Mr. Mister are absolute perfection!!! I love them so much! What an honor & a privilege it must have been to see them perform live and be in one of their transcendently-awesome videos!! I love them so very much!! ;) ;) ;)
