I remember I heard this song (and album) after I got back from a few months of traveling for free, freight-riding et ceterea, around the US, and was trying to salvage my life in NYC. This song was like my anthem. Things didn't work out again in the city, and I hit the road again, but I got back on my feet. Got kicked down again, but am getting back on my feet again. Great song.

How many times have you been dead?
I've been legally dead or not expected to survive various thing's at least 5 times,went under 4 times as far as I heard last illness,it's like going home,to a place you never knew but belong to,they pulled me back,I woke up full of tubes and my first clear thought through the morphine haze,they had to put it in a neck vein if I remember,sepsis,was this is going to be painful,then I passed out for a while again.
6 year's back,and I know I'm here,and I know I'm ready to go anyfucking time,but I know to get back home I'll have to wait the rest of my lifetime.
Oh well,I'm not afraid,I don't beg,but that's just me.

I hate claiming that certain songs 'speak to me' or anything like that, but when this album came out I was dealing with some anxiety issues, and there was just something about the two Spent Gladiator songs that felt really powerful to me. Wonderful music.
