Mott The Hoople - Rock & Roll Queen Lyrics

Listen woman you needn't look so stupid when I call your name out loud
Cause everybody thinks you're a sweet smelling girl with intelligence and you know how
I wouldn't want anyone else to know
About the way you really are
You're just a rock and roll queen
You know what I mean
And I'm just a rock and roll star

Listen woman you needn't go to bed with everybody that you meet
Cause everybody thinks you're a sweet little girl with intelligence in your feet
I wouldn't want anyone else to know
About the way you really are
You're just a rock and roll queen
You know what I mean
And I'm just a rock and roll star
Alright!
You're just a rock and roll queen
You know what I mean
And I'm just a rock and roll star
[fade]

Mott The Hoople Rock & Roll Queen Comments
  1. Joe Postove

Its got a Who vibe to it. The guitar riff sounds just like a Who song that I can't think of.

  2. László Grácsmann

saw Mott The Hoople live 5 times by "accident"....they were always on the card with bands i "paid" to see like---Aerosmith---Kansas---Queen---Blue Oyster Cult---Edgar Winters White Trash.....they are the most overrated band in rock history. 1 good album "all the young dudes" thanks to Bowie...LIVE a very generic act...stiff and dull. their clothes were made more of a splash in concert than their music # YAWN :)

Ray-Moe A Day in the Life

You need to see a Doctor ...they were great live..especially at the beginning...and their albums are dynomite

    MattHatter

The most overrated band in rock history would be Bon Jovi.

  8. Antunes Carlos

    Fantástico.

  9. antonio berti

  10. Dura Saxon

    Brings back memories.
    I purchased this album about
4 years after it came out and
    I liked its raw groove.
Still like the Rock n' Roll Queen
    jam and why not?
It has raw Rock n' Roll energy
    overdubbing not withstanding.
I purchased 3 of their first 5 albums and this although the first was my favorite.
    Raw energy. Nice.
    Some bands cheat you with
    commercial crap.
    Too bad. when that happens.
    Thanks to Mott The Hoople.
    By the way,
No one will ever stick me to one genre of music because I like: Rock metal Jazz Folk Blues Soul Disco.
All music can be good if it meets a crescendo quality and it makes you feel good!
    British Boogie.

  11. JohnsRadios

    A great band to boot.

  12. Kristine Kwiat

Rock and Roll doesn't get much better than this.

    Mike Falvey

    yes it does.

  13. antonio berti

one of the greatest songs of english rock. for all the dudes...

  14. Mellissa Dalby

I never get tired of this song. I actually got to hold the Les Paul that Mick played on this track. It was very cool for me.
