Another perfect day is their most underrated album ever IMO

I know it’s a bit more melodic than the standard Motörhead sound set with their first few albums, but this is one of their best songs IMO. Absolutely terrific the way that they blended their style of hard hitting sleazy rock and roll with a bit of atmosphere and melody.

Another Perfect Day. I remember buying it on cassette and nearly getting kicked off the bus for playing it too loud through my headphones on my way home from the store. Yes, it was a Sony Walkman, and yes, the album had just come out, and yes, it blew me away with how much better it was than all their earlier stuff. That was another perfect summer's day in SF 83, and that's why it's my favourite Motörhead album. They seem to be playing it just a little bit too fast here. Is it any wonder?

Another Perfect Day was the first Motorhead release I ever bought (on cassette!) upon realease in '82. I was 11 then and had recently seen the "One track mind" video on MTV. Lemmy looked so bad ass and that song ripped so, yes, I needed this. Got it at the nearest Specs (remember them? Oh the memories) and has since become my second favorite Motorhead album of all time next to the Bastards record, which is tbe greatest piece they ever created.

Excellent album, might have been hated by the original hard edged Motorhead fans back in 1983, but with age, it is a classic.

Another Perfect Day, as good of an album as it is, was indeed not embraced very well upon its release in '83. A lot of people thought Brian Robertson ruined their sound. Fast forward 30+ years and I don't think they ever made a bad album. They have a few "mediocre" albums but it isn't one of them.

Best album, song, sound, guitar solo, band may be Play a little too fast than emotional original version. Almost tears in my eyes

Skip Dawg Robbo's work will always be overshadowed by Eddie's input on their more familiar back catalogue/classic era but Robbo did a fantastic job on this album and added some great melodic riffs and solos.

Skip Dawg Robbo was a more accomplished player for a start!

@FullMetalGuy the thing about motorhead was that they were afraid to try new things. and that means that not only is there an ablum for every genre, but a song for every subgenre. as a blues metal fan who grew up on thin lizzy i love overkill and another perfect day. where as some thrash fans might prefare sacrifice and inferno.
