Motion City Soundtrack - I Can Feel You Lyrics

All this time I've wasted
Waiting for the world to end

Dizzy indecision
Veering off the open road
Anchors away

Lack of infrastructure
Someone hear me out
I'm dying inside
There's nowhere to hide
Where do I go?

Get back in the cage
Just keep me away
I'm staggering

I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone
I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone

Easy to resemble
Hard to learn the workings of
This lonesome charade

I'm filled with hesitation
Staring down the tide
It pulls you apart
It stabs in the dark
It carries away

I'm starting to see
The problem with me
Is everything

I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone
I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone
I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone
I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone

I can feel you tonight
I can feel you
I can feel you tonight
I can feel you

I never know who I am
I only know what I'm not
It doesn't make any sense
It doesn't further the plot
I never learn how to love
I only learn how to fight
I only see in the dark
But never kept to the night
I got a flurry of words
But I got nothing to say
And why does everything
Always end this way?
If I asked you to let me go
Would you hold on, would you hold on?
I try hard to let go but the pull is too great
Consumed with the promise
Of one last chance
Are you holding on?
Cause I'm still holding on

I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone
I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone
I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone
I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone

I can feel you tonight
I can feel you
I can feel you tonight
I can feel you
I can feel you tonight
I can feel you
I can feel you tonight
I can feel you

There's so much Covette in this.

  6. César Adrián Flores Martínez

MCS is my lyrically favorite band! Hopefully they will come back to Mexico some day...

  7. jared frost

1:43 - 2:52 tears my heart out every time.

    Paul Horn

Oh i know i just about cry on that part, so beautiful. Have you heard the song Oxygen by Thousand Foot Krutch? Massive goosebumps on the chorus, just like this song does.

    César Adrián Flores Martínez

I miss her everyday, i can feel you.

  13. Cousnouf

The bridge is so fucking amazing...

  14. ShyLivesMatter

Still love this song and album. Never understood the animosity felt by some toward the album - seemed a bit over the top and uncalled for, especially considering all the awesome music MCS has given us over the years. Kinda sucked feeling so invisible after posting so much positive stuff here and elsewhere about the album (thanks), but good music stands the test of time, so hopefully people have smartened up by now. "We all just wanna do our thing without the misery you bring. Go fuck yourselves, leave us alone."

    sierrathings

The album just is a change of pace in what I associate with the band. It's cool - bands change over time - but it sucks when you expect one thing and get another. I don't think there should be outright hate towards anything because there's stylistic choices for this whole album, but you shouldn't hate on people in return for expressing their opinion.

    DJ K-DOG

Don't worry your not alone! this album is unfuckingbelievable! By the by its also a live studio album this is how they actually sound! I've been to 12 MCS shows if people don't accept the fact that bands evolve over time then they can't Fuck themselves! it can't be the same goddamn thing over and over!

  15. Perksofbeing_Serena

    Wonderful

  16. MikeLive1285

great song please check out my cover if anyone can sing and wants to collaborate message me for an instrumental track

  17. Rodney Thornton

This has to be the best song on the album. Maybe one of there best songs, period.

  18. andrewgeg1

Brought tears to my eyes! Never Disappointed

  19. Frederick Charles Rodriguez

That bridge part though. So much goodness.

  20. Christy Staude

you can always count on mcs year after year. been a life soundtrack for me. love em.

  21. Sébastien LEROUX

This is my new favorite MCS song. Can't stop listening to it.

    jared frost

same. insta fav when this album came out. the lyrics and the music are powerful

  22. ShyLivesMatter

Ha, that's twice Justin says "waiting for the world to end" in a song on this album. Anyone else catch that? Love it. "I can't wait to find you, I really hate that I'm alone ... I'm starting to see the problem with me is everything." Justin always knows just what to say :-) Love this band and album - great Power Pop. Fave song on this album. Epic, monster, beast of a song. Worth the price of the album a-lo-oh-oh-one ;-) Bit of an 80s feel, too. That bridge (that I quoted in my other post)... Can't imagine how phenomenal this would sound live.

  23. ShyLivesMatter

I never know who I am, I only know what I'm not

    Would you hold on?

    Chills.

    Jagger 0718

It sounds like promise of one last chance to you holding on

  24. Camilo

    AMAZING ALBUM guys, congratulations!

  25. Steven Malesky

This and Heavy Boots are my favorites from this album.

    MikeLive1285

@Ned James yeah they def went back to their roots a bit, I have since grown to enjoy this album a bit more, one of my faves is Days Will Run Away, if you get a chance check out a cover I did of it on my channel.

    Ned James

I'll check it out dude, and yeah it's going back to there roots but moving forward, I can also hear elements of go

    Paul Horn

I love that part when they say i can't wait to find you i really hate that i'm alone. Also the middle part is just beautiful when it slows down. Have you ever hear the band further seems forever? If not check out the song "Hide Nothing". Great chorus on that one too.

    Paul Horn

    Heard i mean

    jared frost

give the album another listen, love it more and more every time i listen to it

  26. havoren

Jesus fucking Christ, this sounds amazing! Man I love it when bands like this decide to sound just like Asking Alexandria and Of Mice & Men! Brilliant move guys, keep up the good work! :D

    Victor Hugo

How .. I think MCS sounds more like a unique altenative pop/punk rock sound, not screamo or hardcore like both those bands

    ShyLivesMatter

To me MCS have always sounded like Weezer, Fountains of Wayne, and intelligent alternative/power pop bands like that meeting a huge bag of pop punk steroids.  So I don't hear the screamo or hardcore thing either.  Thank God.  My ears can't stand that shit.

    Wrisles

+havoren how the hecmk do you get AA or OMAM from this??? lol.

    havoren

Actually from hearing this song again, I'm starting to get more of a Black Veil Brides and Blood On The Dance Floor vibe from them. Still good! :D

    Victor Hugo

+havoren ok now you're just trolling
