I feel the same way. Been listening to this stuff since it came out in 2000, and I'm still just as mystified by how he put these incredible songs together. The imagery and simple poetry of it all are too damn good, then match it with that music and that voice...perfect.

It's a shame how it turned out for dear old Mark, but I can't think of a better song he could have signed off with. "The Night" was a righteous masterpiece and a brilliant final chapter to his life's work.

I loved this band. Never got to see them live, but I did get the privilege of seeing Dana Colley play out with some local musicians in my hometown.
