Morby, Kevin - Dry Your Eyes Lyrics
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Oh dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Oh dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Go to, down town at dawn
Just to see what, going on there
No crowd, to be a part of
Now there's tears in my eyes
Tears in my eyes
Oh tears in my eyes
Tears in my eyes
Tears in my eyes
Tears in my eyes
Oh oh tears in my eyes
Tears in my eyes
I go to, a city square
Just to see what, or who I'm gonna find there
But there ain't no, soul I know
No commotion, for me to be a part of
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Oh dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Dry your eyes
Oh dry your eyes
Dry your eyes

Morby, Kevin Dry Your Eyes Comments
I listen to a lot of music. Almost all day, every day. For some reason, I seldom pay attention to the lyrics. I am more of an instrumental person. Ever since Harlem River came out I´ve been hooked. Appreciating every chord and beat. But still, I never really listened to the lyrics. Until now. After the first couple of bars, I stopped what I was doing (packing my stuff to move). And I listened. Intently. And I wrote down the words. Which I have never done before. I don`t know why. They`re not very special. It`s not his best song, not even his best album. And he`s not the best singer-songwriter around. I have no idea why these particular lyrics mesmerised me. And yet they do, and I feel like sharing this. So here goes:
Dry your eyes...
I go to… Downtown at dawn…
Just to see what… Goin` on, there…
But there ain`t no... One, I know, no...
No crowd... To be, a part of...
Now there`s tears in my eyes…
Tears in my eyes...
I go to... A city square...
Just to see what... Or who... I am gonna find there...
But there ain`t no... Soul I know...
No commotion... For me, to be a part of...
Dry your eyes...
(solo)
I want to go paint a wall to this. Catch some throwies and tags.
