We have family friends, hippies, they would call themselves. I love them. Once i went to their caravan and one of our friends, an elderly lady. Sang this song to us. It was the most hauntingly beautiful thing i had ever heard. She introduced me to this song and i love it now.

I heard this at a pub, performed by a group that would gather each week at this pub in ballybunion, and was stunned by the haunting beauty of it. I had never realized the sheer beauty and elegance of Irish folk music. Incredible night and this was the high point for me.
