Moody Blues, The - I'll Go Crazy Lyrics

Oh you know I feel alright,
Oh yeah.
You know I feel alright, children.
Oh yeah.
You know I feel alright,
Oh yeah.
Ah, you're hanging me up, baby,
Yeah babe.
If you leave me,
I'll go crazy,
If you leave me, babe,
Shall I go crazy,

'Cause I love you,
I love you.
Oh I love you too much,

And if you hurt me
I'll go crazy.
If you ever go and hurt me, baby,
I'll go crazy.

'Cause I love you,
I love you.
Oh I love you too much,

You've got to live for yourself,
Yourself, for nobody else.
You've got to live for yourself,
Yourself, for nobody else.

Oh baby, I'll go crazy.
If you ever leave me, babe,
I'll go crazy
'Cause I love you,
I love you,
Oh I love you too much.

You've got to live for yourself,
Yourself, for nobody else.
You've got to live for yourself,
Yourself, for nobody else.

Talk about me ever loving you.
If you hurt me, baby,
You know thart I'll go crazy
'Cause I love you,
I love you.

Oh I love you much more than I can stand,
I'm talking about you.

Before they went tripping through the daisies. Not even the Stones covered James Brown. Decent. Go figure.

If ya ask me, the band went downhill from here! I don't care how much $$ they made

Interestly: "The Moody Blues" play rythm'n'blues... But it's understandly: 1965 year is "on yard".

Was a very good album with Denny Laine. He missed out on the following years

    Z.... 1....

Yeah, but the fact that they made it without him shows how good they were.

    Z.... 1....

Moody's loss was the Wings gain

    Z.... 1....

@Chris Corman True but played in McCartney's shadow, shoulda been a superstar in his own right

  12. M.... M....

Blues and Gospel come together with rock & roll for the moody blues!

    M.... M....

@Mike Mangan I'm not sure James Brown, the Godfather of Soul, ever considered it to be "Gospel"!

    M.... M....

+Mehefinheulog1 no I don't think it was god squadie

  13. k.... ....

thanks for bringing this magnificent album on youtube

  14. M.... ....

    wow, how deep.

and I just thought Denny was trying to "James-Brown-it-up" a bit !!

  15. J.... J....

they reverse the "message", singing "you gotta leave your SELF" instead of you've gotta live FOR YOURSELF", pre-figuring a "Question of Balance" , in a way...

Great to hear this old music, precursor to the contemporary MB's sound. Love the variety of songs. It took guts to do some of these songs. Great post!

Sorry, a little mistake! The first Moody Blues album, The Magnificent Moodies, shall be Decca MONO Lk 4711,not LP! I'm getting old, may be that was the reason...

  18. j.... v....

I recommend The Magnificent Moodies album to everyone who loves good and fine music from all decades, but the original recording Decca MONO LP 4711 is hard to find, and I'm not selling each of my two copies...

This James Brown classic opens The Magnificent Moodies LP album, may be the finest british vinyl recording in the 60's, by the original Moody Blues featuring Denny Laine and Clint Warwick still there. The LP's high musical level, instrumentation, finesses in playing and vocalisationlng and the elegancy in general must be some sort of a legend. I have enjoyed this british classical rhytm'n blues album now over 46 years and still enjoying it!

  20. K.... R....

Wow. I grew up with the Days of Future Passed album and this is much different... I'll definitely buy a copy of their first album if I ever see it anywhere!

  21. M.... ....

and a great album in its own right
I urge you to find a copy

  22. M.... ....

    d'accord, absolutement
    merci

  23. M.... ....

.... and Denny Lane was probably the one who gave direction to this band, that we can still look back to with no small degree of affection and nostalgia

  24. J.... C....

Justin Hayward and John Lodge didn't join the group until 1967 when Days of Future Past was released. Those two were the ones that controlled the direction of the Moody Blues that we know today.

  25. E.... S....

wow this is different!! I am used to the later side of the Moody Blues.....still it is great to hear this song from their first album!!!
