Moody Blues, The - Going Nowhere Lyrics

Once more I've loved I've laughed and I've lost
Now I'm alone left counting the cost
Once more sweet child of middling years
Basted again in bitter-sweet tears
I will survive the solitude
But come alive
Although the new

Somebody tell me you love me
Somebody tell me you care
I've got a heart full of giving
Going nowhere (going nowhere)

Daylight will come and steal the night sights
Starlight on black replaced with gray light
Now I must go and set my best pace
Running all day in the human race
But now I know the good news
Before you win you have to lose

Somebody tell me you love me
Somebody tell me you care
I've got a heart full of giving
Going nowhere going nowhere

How much longer must I travel on
Looking for someone to help me sing my song
How much longer will it be
I need to find someone
For the love
From me

Somebody tell me you love me
Somebody tell me you care
I've got a heart full of giving
Going nowhere (going nowhere)

This song always knocks me out! I love it right from the start & all the way through! We all knew Graham could write great poetry but who knew he could write such a great song! Thank you, Graham!

    I love this album!

  7. M.... J....

ONE of Graeme's few tunes that gained prominence on a MOODY album ....

Graeme's spoken words gave a pause to Think [When & If we were listening] ....

Never can recall when he required a "backup" drummer to compensate for his extreme arthritis that greatly limited his percussion .... Sin embargo .... His stage [and off-stage] presence never flickered

Personally .... I always cherished Ray's music & talent .... Always got concert seats on left side (stage right) just to watch Ray perform .... I never saw him in public (deep sigh)

The clarinet solo at 3:21 brought chills on a hot summer day in 1992. It still gets to me today. Thanks Dad, for buying the cassette so long ago. Thanks you krakenkool for reposting such a beautiful song.

Thanks so much for this! My old tape was sounding pretty bad. Nice to hear in its original glory.
They played this song live on The Present tour (Manchester NH), and it really came across well. I think it had the best of their "new" sound" -- sincere not saccharine, good group effort, and something to space out to at the end. Well done!

By the way guys if you're reading this, I'm sorry for being a bit rowdy, shouting "rock'n'roll" just to get your attention, etc. I really meant well.
