for me, clean vocals are all the vocals that are neither screamed nor growled. for me, their ''cleans`` are enjoyable, that overly edited shit that sound just like the vocals used in pop just sound like shit. theyve included the right amount of editing, thats what i meant to say with my comment. another good example for good clean vocals would be the new album by the faceless, autotheism.
