Montrose - Twenty Flight Rock Lyrics

Oh I get a girl with a record machine
When it comes to rockin she's the queen
We go to dance on saturday night
I'm all alone and I hold her tight
But she live on the twentieth floor in town
The elevator's broken down

So I walk one, two flight, three flight four
Five, six, seven flight, eight flight more
Up on the twelfth I'm starting to sag
Fifteenth floor I'm ready to drag
Get to the top, I'm too tired to rock

Well she called me up on the telephone
Said "come on over, baby, I'm all alone"
I said "baby, you're mighty sweet
But I'm in bed with the achin' feet"
This went on for a couple of days
But I could not stay away

So I walk one, two flight, three flight four
Five, six, seven flight, eight flight more
Up on the twelfth I'm starting to sag
Fifteenth floor I'm ready to drag
Get to the top, I'm too tired to rock

Yeah, we sent to chicago for repairs
Till it's a-fixed I'm using the stairs
I love you, baby, wanna see your face
I love you baby, too much to wait
All this climbing is gettin me down
They'll find my cold feet over the rail

So I walk one, two flight, three flight four
Five, six, seven flight, eight flight more
Up on the twelfth I'm starting to sag
Fifteenth floor I'm ready to drag
Get to the top, I'm too tired to rock

    DYLAN CHANGED EVERYTHING FOREVER

Original album from 1975 was Warner Brothers presents Montrose. This recording came from the best of Montrose where all the tracks sonically cleaned up and were digitally remastered for the release for Best of Montrose about 15 or 20 years ago "Best of Montrose" I think was released by Rhino Records by special permission from Warner Brothers.

    DYLAN CHANGED EVERYTHING FOREVER

This track came from originally from The 1975 album Warner Brothers presents Montrose. It had a movie scene with a dragon and a lady being captured by the dragon and whatnot. That's where the original recording came from. The picture of the wasp with the guitar at the top of this page was from the album credits and cover of The Best of Montrose which was released 15 or 20 years ago by an agreement with Warner Brothers by Rhino records. All the tracks for the best of Montrose release on CD got the Sonic overhaul and digital remaster treatment for the compilation. so that's the reason why you remember a different original album cover because the original album cover was it from 1975 for the original recording and this recording released to YouTube is from the best of compilation.
