Such a damn good song. Had me really thinking deep about life and how we treat other people. Even if I dislike someone or they annoy me, they are still part of this family under the sky and we both share similar experiences and share the same ignorance of all things. Kids are natural at seeing this, and as we get older we start to only see our differences.

Montrose took a great Rolling Stones tune and slowed the tempo and added soul, brilliant!

Totally agree. They took a slight Stones tune that was rightfully
obscure (good lyric but not much musically), short and bouncy.....
slowed it down, stretched it out and turned it into a mini Stairway
To Heaven.

Still have this album.. sooo good with Sammy singing. Even got to meet Ronnie at a friend's house who made his speakers. He regifted me a purple satin, black lace photo album from his sister in law lol.. and signed this album the next day!

My favorite part of tribute to Ronnie was Sammy,Denny,Bill,and Joe Satriani doing a marvelous version of this. Ronnie would have been proud.

This was stunning live in 74. Hagar was front and center with a bright white light on him and the rest of the stage dark.

Thank you for the gift I received today. One of my all time favorite songs that is guaranteed to change my mood within a couple of minutes. This version is powerful in a different way. I love it.

@Chuck Ryan 40+ years later...no Stu, no Bill Wyman...it ain't worth the trouble. I'm just sad that Leavell and Wood have turned the once greatest, blah-blah, into a tribute act

@CpnClack They're in their 70s. How many artists in any genre of music have remained much more than "tribute acts" to their early greatness that late into their careers? If I wanna hear the Stones, I'm gonna listen to the stuff up through Exile On Main Street for the most part, although they have had some excellent music beyond that.

@Chuck Ryan Yeah. MUST, after 40+ years. I want to say "Mick Ronson died for their sins," but I'm not in the mood to be sacrilegious. And Montrose's version of "Connection" comes pretty damn close to beating the Stones' version thereof.

Another great guitarist with a tragic end.
