Molly Hatchet - It's All Over Now Lyrics

Well, baby used to stay out all night long.
She made me cry, she done me wrong.
She hurt my eyes open, that's no lie.
Table's turning, now her turn to cry.

[Chorus:]
Because I used to love her but it's all over now.
Because I used to love her but it's all over now.
Well, she used to run around with ev'ry man in town.
Spent all my money playing a high class game.
She put me out, it was a pity how I cried.
The table's turned and now, her turn to cry.

[Chorus:]
Because I used to love her but it's all over now.
Because I used to love her but it's all over now.
Well, I used to wake up in the morning, get my breakfast in bed.
When I gotten worried, she could ease my aching head.
But now she's here and there with ev'ry man in town.
Instead of trying to take me for that same old clown.

[Chorus:]
Because I used to love her but it's all over now.
Because I used to love her but it's all over now.
Because I used to love her but its all over now.

The world has lost a true southern rock legend that I have had the pleasure of seeing him perform many times. I am blessed for this

Never heard of this version, just did, and love it. Thank you Bobby Womack for writing this iconic song...RIP

How old are you? Where were you in '79 when Hatchet was all the rage? BTW, Bobby Womack wrote a great song (and great songs). Just ask Greg and Dickey (Allman Brothers) how they (Hatchet) can "rewrite" and re-arrange great songs from other artists, i.e., " Dreams I'll Never See." According to "some", after Greg heard Hatchet's version, he said, supposedly, "We will never play that song again ( at any of our concerts)." It's like Hendrix's version of Dylan's "Watchtower." They OWN both of these songs! Google, Hatchet / Van Halen.... you will be surprised.

I love The Stones but Molly put a whole new lease of life into this song. They played this two weeks ago at Dingwalls and the place was ROCKIN'.
