I´ll listen to it a little bit more. Anyways, honesty has lots of different faces, more if its expressed with music or any art. I don't question the impact that this band can have in a lot of people, but none type of music fits within all personalities. Thank u for sharing your passion though. Listen to Hiatus Kaiyote, don't know if u will like it, but I consider it very honest music too.

I was young when this happened, and recall feeling heartbroken ab those brave Submariners and Families. Plus, anger at the Hubris and refusal of international assistance: Even if enemies in War, there is a Bond between these Crews, no matter the side. They'd want to receive help, as much as they want to render assistance. This track on its own, is sublime. Haunting and beautiful. The story I heard was the first diver to get to kurst was a Scottish oil diver who had been contracted to help with the rescue effort. so the line about hammers was when he was banging on the side of the submarine to try and get a response. There was a documentary about him on a scottish regional tv channel I'm guessing Mogwai saw that.

The lyrics always had me thinking it had to do with a drowning death, but the fact of notes made me think it had to be a submarine, the only way you could stay down there and still write notes. Thnaks for the clarification though, it's nice to know the real meaning behind a song as amazing as this.
