This is good and I didn't like their previous album at all. I really want to hear some scrappy, spurr of the moment music. I don't want stuff that sounds like it was workshopped by a team of 30 people. I'm not saying Modest Mouse ever did that but bands like the Killers and Fall Out Boy did.

This is a Long Drive, Lonesome Crowded West, Moon and Antarctica, Good News..those were all classic albums and held to a distinct sound while still evolving one after the other. This is just..idk even know man, generic indie rock with some weird 80's hair rock synth influence? I love Modest Mouse but this song blows.

I wouldn't worry too much everyone who is saying they don't like this (personally I enjoy it), you know this sounds a little bit single-ish because it is just that, the single, they are releasing the single before a full album or EP.
