Agree with this. The only problem with indies are sponsorship. If a good sponsor happen to discover a good indie band, we will know, and we might come to love them. But this kind of encounter is rare, if it happen at all.

To expand your view, you have to watch those crappy music shows like Dahsyat. Sponsorship play a big role there. Too bad, I'm too appaled with the programe to wait a good musician surfaced there.

maybe we should create indomalaypop lol .. I've no problem with other genre, Mocca itself played swing genre (which is originally not from our culture). I just hope that music industry giving more chance for the minorities to go nationwide, especially the one with good quality like Mocca. I barely saw Mocca on national TV, maybe only 1 or 2 times in a year.. Too bad for me :(

so sorry to heard bout those unexposed indie band... seriously i really dont like those copy kpop neither indonesian or malaysian. we have our own identity why should copy that kpop jpop or so whatever pop . am i right?

because most of the indonesian people dont understand english, with huge market, the music industries more focus on "music trend" (used to be malay genre songs, but lately more like KPop booming)
Mocca is different, they are not following the trend, they played the genre that represent who they are
speaking of most brilliant band in Indonesia, actually there are lot of Indonesian Indies band with more creativity, more senior, and perhaps better than mocca, and yet they are never been exposed :)
