Moakler, Steve - Riser Lyrics
Lay your pretty head down on my shoulder
You don't have to worry anymore
This old world is cold and getting colder
But I know how to lock and bolt the door
Mean enough to stare your demons down
Hard times put the shine into the diamond
But I won't let that keep us in the ground
'Cause I'm a riser
Imma get up off the ground don't run and hider
When pushing comes to shove, hey, I'm a fighter
When darkness hits the town, I'm a lighter
A get out aliver, through the fire, survivor
I ain't afraid of working to the bone
If I don't know what I'm doing, I can fake it
Ill pray till Jesus rolls away the stone
'Cause I'm a riser
Imma get up off the ground don't run and hider
When pushing comes to shove, hey, I'm a fighter
When darkness hits the town, I'm a lighter
A get out aliver, through the fire, survivor
I'm a tryer
I'm a get down low so I can lift you higher
An army couldn't keep down my desire
Yeah, yeah
I'm a riser
Imma get up off the ground don't run and hider
When pushing comes to shove, hey, I'm a fighter
When darkness hits the town, I'm a lighter
A get out aliver, through the fire, survivor

Why does not this have billions of views ????? It's the greatest song I have ever heard ....😊😊😊🥰🥰
Can someone recommend me some songs that are instrumentally and similar?
Thank you, super
Appreciate you listening 🙏🏼
This is a gem of a song, feeling it
Its another relaxing and addictive song.
Awesomely!!.
Funny that he came to PA, gave away his album and when I listened to this song I immediately thought it'd be a hit. What a song writer
I loved watching you perform this song live at 3rd & Lindsley and hearing the back story gave it even more meaning. Love it, thank you for what you do.
This song is so addictive <3 , Great Job Steve!
I can appreciate this version, but I think Dierks still performs it better
this is beautiful!
Hate that that Dierks dude stole his song -_-
@Neil Caswell "Stole" ? I am sure he gave permission ..for Dierks to sing it. Awesome song Steve! You have amazing talent! http://dbcongress.blogspot.com/2013/05/db-congress-exclusive-interview-im.html
+Neil Caswell Do you know how dumb you just sounded? 1. It's a matter of opinion whether you like Dierk's version or not but he didn't steal anything. He was given permission to make a cover of it, which he did a great job at.
Dude, maybe do your research before you throw someone under the bus. Steve wrote this song, and he gave it to Dierks. This happens in music all the time. Go look at how many songs Sam Hunt wrote for other people, or the guys from Old Dominion. once again, this is commonplace
travis meadows wrote this song and gave it to Steve. search travis meadows he is legend wrote songs for jake owen as well.
Actually if you look it up Steve is one of the writers of the song.
Great song! Really powerful message.
Such a powerful song. Dierks does a nice version too. Props to Steve, I believe he wrote the song. Nothing quite as emotional like the writer singing his own song.
such a sick song
For all Marines and FMF Corpsman who served OIF/OEF 2001-2014.

Congrats Steve!!! Big win with Dierks Bently....Album title and future single. Awesome!
