Mission, The - 1969 Lyrics
Well alright!
It's 1969 OK
War across the USA
There's no one here for me and you
There's nothing here for me and you
Another year with nothing to do, yow!
Now last year I was 21
I didn't have a lot of fun
Now I'm gonna be 22
So, oh my, I'll boohoo
Now I'm gonna be 22
Oh my, I'll boohoo, yow!
It's 1969 OK
War across the USA
Nothing here for me and you
Another year with nothing to do
1969, baby
1969, baby
9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 9, 1969
1969

Amazing! Thank you.

shyte version of 1969
Oh, what a singer! I know them until 1991 and they are still inimitable.
What a day out travelling in the snow to Newcastle from the Midlands, Ripping up paper for hours, great performance, Jools Holland sacked too!
God this is painful to watch. Not because the music is bad or the performance lacked. Quite the opposite. This takes me back to great days. Best days of my life. Shit happens and we take odd turns here and there and we end up in our fifties looking back wondering where it all went. If only we could go back and relive just one day from back then
ESKIMOOOOOOO
Absolutely superb 💕💕
Looks and sounds like a goth tribute band at an 80's themed event. Also "1969" and "Wasteland" are curiously similar titles to "1959" and "Floodland" but whatever.....
THIS IS PURE GOLD
Excelente los vi en Argentina
The energy in that room is probably something you can't feel nowadays. Truly wish i was born a decade earlier seeing awesome shit like this
You're right I saw the Mission a few times in the 80s, at the Astoria, Kilburn and (cough) Wembley Arena
when they were still a great band long time ago they were great in the 80's sad to say last time I saw them live was in London 1991(they were terrible) with support from Killing Joke / NMA etc
Miami Vice soundtrack brought me here.
how high vocal qualitiy wasted in this shit............
We saw 4 shows in this tour. Great shows.
Haha remember a few complaints about the audience. The Eskimo's took over the audience. Melody Maker gave the band so much stick because to their following. Saw em a couple of times.....they did mosh a tad harder than most.
le kiff de les revoir sur le net, longue vie au mission!
Craig and Wayne.......easily strong enough to stand on their own with out Andrew.......Awesome !
amazing show stuck in your brain forever
The Mission UK will always hold a special place in my heart. I saw them 2x back then, April 87 at The Ritz NYC on GOM and on Children too. Amazing band. I wish they'd come back to NYC (I saw the Irving Plaza show a few years ago and it was amazing).
you couldn't do that today. Thank fuck i grew up following bands when i did. Great gigs the mission always put on. Remember seeing them in Cardiff 1986? November? Don't think the sister's had been split up that long at the time. Possibly there first tour as the mission.
I just happen to discover this band this week! Thanks to YouTube! Wow fantastic band!
Nice one.
Three of their best songs. The full version of Shelter From The Storm has been uploaded separately. Saw them playing Leeds Elland Road as support to U2 in summer 1987, then twice at Newcastle City Hall in 1988. Brings back how good they were in the day...
I was at both the Newcastle gigs and havent seen better since they were that good
I remember watching this at the time. One of the best performances I saw on the Tube .
Yes - one of my favourite Tube episodes too!
Holy shit they were on point here!
Nearly 30 years ago. Always on my mind !
