2) OK, I'll admit....heard the intro and facepalmed, shook my head and said "Oh Jesus, Jerry...wtf!?"

And then the music dropped.
I haven't sang along so loud and played out a track like this since that straight ahead train of kick ass called "Bruiser"! I'm 45 and been a Misfits fan since 12.
I have liked and disliked song from EVERY era. Guess what? I fucking HATE 80% of Earth AD. Yep, some kickers on that one, but mostly not what I wanted to hear and not the "Misfits" to me. Did I stop praying that one day miracles would happen and I would get to see my favorite band ever live? Fuck no. When I saw them on resurrection tour (Boathouse, Norfolk, Va, Cannibal corpse, LOA, Anthrax and the Fits! Fuck yeah!) they played a "new track"! For what I asked. It was awful imo. But new for what? Turned out it was the worst song on the American Psycho album. Glad I bought the album!! No matter what you like or don't. It's all Misfits. Like horror, sci fi and all the awesome source material this juggernaut of horror punk has drawn from over, what...forty three years, they and their sound has changed. It happens. This track is punk to the bone. The backing vocals, the guitar, that heavy and bold low end that Jerry is the master of and of COURSE, its way too short and leaves you wanting more, like every good punk song ever. Glenn, Micheal or Jerry.... they're all Misfits and we are all the fiend club!!

Holy crap! This is actually...good.

I'd love to see Danzig reuniting for good, but as this is not his intention, and Graves got fired for bailing on the South America tour, Jerry's the man. I watched them play, had a lot of fun and his voice pretty decent. This song is pretty good, but I like Vampire Girl better. It has lot of Jerry's Rockabilly's influences and old horror movies

Man this song is extra depressing after seeing the band reunion on Sunday at Riot Fest with Danzig. He can't hold his vocal range as long as he used to, but he killed! I am very hopeful there will be an original Misfits project once again in the future. If Glen and Jerry can keep their egos in check for a moment, maybe they can collaborate once again. I mean shit, a year ago I was saying a reunion would never happen, and here we are! As for this, can't hate on Jerry, but this isn't the Misfits to me (not Danzig era or Graves which were great in their own right)

Jared Hood Only will always be an Original Misfit. Danzig and Doyle are gods, and the Original Misfits lineup was amazing, but I feel Only gets a lot of unnecessary hate. He has never given up on the band, and has been here the entire time. True he and Danzig both need to get over their egos and just get back together and lay down at least ONE more album.

Hahaha...I'm 45 and discovered the Misfits in 86. No one who was a fan at that time ever thought we'd see ANY Fits version, now with the originals back, we've had THREE!! Evil never dies, it just changes shape!

This is what happens when people age, evolve musically and no longer want to play the same old. Whether it's progress forwards or back is inconsequential. It's the Misfits. Be forever grateful that they left their imprint on music we listen to today.

Well they never really evolved they just churned out the same stuff but tons of it is memorable I agree with what marky ramone said that when doyle and graves were gone it should have ended and that its not fair that jerry still calls it the misfits anymore when its only 1 guy who cant sing the old material properly with a changing roster of guitarists and drummers

I agree. I love the songs on this single! Times change. I like a lot of the old Misfits but I love almost all of the new Misfits since they came back. I don't compare the old and new, I just take the songs and line-ups as they are. I eagerly buy all their new records.

Ahhhh, someone who makes sense. I would love to see Graves back as well, but they've been putting out some damn good tracks as is. Some stinkers as well, but they've always done that. No one's going to like everything. I agree that Father was good, but that Land of the dead, Black hole, Twilight of the dead combo was the ball kicker combo of the album. Ghost of Frankenstein also gets me going.

I know.  I just feel that the other members, especially long-lasting members like Doyle and Glenn still carry on the spirit as well.  I still support the band.  It just doesn't feel the same.  I suppose if they call it "the Misifts", it is, at least on a legal level, but to me it feels like a spin-off.  I think Jerry and his magnificent crew would get more respect and admiration if they didn't go under the Misfits badge.  I don't mean anything hateful by it and will continue investing into his music - from a Misfits fan for 20 years.  Have a good one dude.

I get what you're saying man, but that's because Misfits is Jerry and Danzig. To me it's like Misfits phase 3. Danzig wrote of their songs, while Jerry and Doyle helped to compose their songs.

Jerry needs a wake up call. Graves is down to do it, so is Doyle. they always have beeb. it's such a simple solution. Jerry just can't swallow his pride and agree to make good music.

I use to like Graves until I saw this interview of him talking about being a Republican. Plus it's hard for me to respect the guy when he said he had not even heard of the Misfits or even knew one song. I talk to guy at work the other day and he thought die die was a Metallica song. Breaks my heart lol
