Ministry - What He Say Lyrics

I've seen many countries
Argue about human lives
But one thing that stays the same is
The clubs are always full at night

Pick out any far-out place
Like kenya or swaziland
Doesn't matter what the place
They'll still be dancing to the band

(mumble mumble jumble)
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble)
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble) what he say?
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble) what he say?
(garble warble farble) let's dance!

Say you've found a homeland? (move to it, move to it)
Say you've found a clubland? (get to it, get to it)
Now you've got a song? (groove to it, groove to it)
Got to find a partner (just get to it, get to it)

(mumble mumble jumble)
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble)
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble) what he say?
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble) what he say?
(garble warble farble) let's dance!

Let's dance!

I've seen many a race of people
Argue many things before
But there is one language that
Gets you understood for sure

Not a language of the mouth
It's only for the feet
Grab a russian by the hands
And he will feel the need
That's right!

(mumble mumble jumble)
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble)
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble) what he say?
(garble warble farble)
(mumble mumble jumble) what he say?
(garble warble farble) let's dance!

Let's dance!

  2. p.... ....

Al Jourgenson sure was a Cutie back in the 80's before drugs messed up his looks.

  4. .... ....

    Early version of "Test".

  5. J.... L....

this has a very nostalgic 1980s sound

  6. r.... ....

So the story goes that Uncle Al claimed that his label at the time (Arista) forced Al and Ministry to make With Sympathy album sound like what the label wanted it to sound like, to make the album more marketable/poppy. On this song I believe Al !

  7. K.... ....

At the beginning I saw Ministry as a industrial metal band and was a bit surprised that they have made synthpop music in their early days. MAAAAN love both this album, Twitch and also the ones before "With Sympathy".

  8. H.... A....

Will always be the best Ministry Album. Very Sad that his first effort will always be his best.

  9. P.... ....

Are you really a true Ministry fan if this isn't your fav song?

  10. M.... M....

Why did Ministry change???? I saw them live in the 80s - they opened for Culture Club. What happened to them????
    PLEASE REPLY!!!!

Michael Mike 1965 According to Al he was forced to make this record and he hated the style. Although there are recordings before this album that could also be defined as synth pop/new wave (like same old madness). There's also the everyday is halloween era. Shortly after that he started experimenting with EDM and industrial. After that phase he started getting into metal (industrial metal, thrash, doom).

But Aren't the band members gay? It seems like they would not like these new styles of music that I consider garbage, not music? Thank you for responding. Any more info on Ministry?

    The best Ministry

  16. S.... ....

He's a Cuban-born American who's first language is Spanish. He grew up mostly in Chicago. Here he was bucking for New Wave English fop to sell records. I wish he'd never discovered cocaine and heroin.
