Milo Greene - On The Fence Lyrics
Am I right to think that you
Are just a little bit more, little bit more becoming
Is it true to think that you won't cut me loose
Am I just a little bit more, little bit more than nothing to you
To the part of you I want around
I'm on the fence about it again
Do I let you go or let you in
I'm on the fence, you won't shut me out
(Never going to shut you down even if I'm on the fence)
You won't shut me out and I'm on the fence, you won't shut me out
(Never going to shut you down even if I'm on the fence)
You won't shut me out and I'm on the fence
But you keep making me doubt, making me doubt about it
If I try to make you choose I know I'll lose
But you keep making me doubt, making me doubt about what to do
Part of me keeps coming back
To the part of you I want around
I'm on the fence about it again
Do I let you go or let you in
I'm on the fence, you won't shut me out
(Never going to shut you down even if I'm on the fence)
You won't shut me out and I'm on the fence, you won't shut me out
(Never going to shut you down even if I'm on the fence)
You won't shut me out and I'm on the fence
Shut me down, shut me down but not this way
Shut me down, shut me down but not this way
Shut me down, shut me down but not this way
Shut me down, shut me down but not this way
I'm on the fence, you won't shut me out
(Never going to shut you down even if I'm on the fence)
You won't shut me out and I'm on the fence, you won't shut me out
(Never going to shut you down even if I'm on the fence)
You won't shut me out and I'm on the fence

Heard this for the first time in a Bath and Body Works store
This is my favorite song in the new album !! Are you kidding me ? It has everything ❤️❤️❤️
God this is so cool! I could so see this with a music video of like people dancing and it starts with this couple and they keep getting swept away by other people pulling them apart and they keep casting glances like wanting each other but sort of reluctant and they keep meeting up mid-dance for just a second only to get split apart again.
el inicio casi me provoca un ataque epileptico :'(

Please put a seizure warning dude...
Please put a seizure warning on this video.
O som dessa canção me remete a atmosfera das músicas da década de 80! Simplesmente perfeito!
free concert in Costa Mesa on Saturday! see you guys there!
Are you trying to induce seizure? I don't have epilepsy, just a different taste in video, I guess.
dis is guud
I found Millo Greene on Supernatural haha
+Vanessa Guzman Me too! I'm so happy about that. :D Bitten is a nice episode btw
Sameeee XD
My eyes -_-. Amazing song though. Great voices.
I wasn't a huge fan of their new sound when "Control" first came out, but its really grown on me. No matter what she is singing, Marlana's voice is captivating. "Perfectly Aligned" on their last album will forever give me chills.
lol @ everyone hating on this song, its awesome and i love it, this song doesn't suck, you suck at appreciating things, dont project that onto these great artists
Great having you guys in the studio in Austin today for Off The Avenue! This is a great track and has been in my head all day now! Peace guys!
I honestly like this. When they came out and opened for BBC in October, I def wasn't expecting this fresh change, but I had fun regardless. I liked the slowed down beats... And it's all part of the creative process to try new things out. I definitely had more favorites off the first, and this one definitely not as much. But I don't think the lyricism has changed too much. IDK, maybe i'm defensive but kudos to Milo Greene for being open to change
Love the old sound, love the new sound.
So sad. :(
So they are not a folk band anymore
So glad Milo Greene did a collaboration with Kenny Loggins.
What's the matter with you lately Milo Greene? Because I fell in love with you after seeing you live at Mountain Stage due to the beautiful four-part harmonies and instrumentalism that was such a integral part of your first album. If I wanted this bullshit, I'd be listening to Wham! And not saying anything bad about George Michael, but he's not my style, and I didn't think he was your style after the haunting "Autumn Tree" and clever "1957". This is inane. You've left me behind, and are suffering a sophomore slump the worst I've seen in at least ten years. You get back to the indie, give me a call, and I'll be right there with your next album. But I just downloaded "Lie to Me" for free, and seriously, it wasn't worth the space on my computer. I'll miss you guys. At least I have the superb first album to remember you by.
Loving the new change in their album, not safe to assume right now that they won't have any tracks with similar styles and sounds from their first album, but regardless it sounds great.
I am a major fan of their first album and I think this track is fantastic. It's fine to not like their new style, but there is no reason to call it garbage. They are people who were interested in creating something reflective of what they are into at this specific point in time. No one can ultimately say what is good and what is not, it's subjective to the listener. I fully support the direction you are moving in Milo Greene & loved seeing you in Chicago last month!
I love the other two new songs released so far but I'm really sitting on the fence about this one. Pun intended.
Milo Greene, please don't sell out and go for the dance/pop music, your 1st album was magical and original, don't be like every other song, this isn't terrible but it would be shame, in my opinion at least. :)
More junk
Feel there is a musical gap appearing? I did, then i listened to Names and Races by Foreign Fields from Nashville and in an instance had my musical cup replenished. If you liked Milo Greenes first album as i did then this is a must listen. You won't be disappointed i promise.
Most certainly not sitting on the fence here. I miss the old sound.
Elektra records have ruined what was the most beautiful sound i'd heard in a long time. The last album renewed my faith in good song writing and delivery and got me searching for bands of a similar genre. I am old enough to remember the 80's first time round. This Debbie Gibson come Karate Kid soundtrack nonsense had its day 30 years ago as did Elektra Records!!!!!
To Milo Greene - fire your manager, because I'm assuming you all weren't stupid enough to think that changing your sound into this garbage was a good idea. How do you go from writing a song like Autumn Tree to such generic, uninspiring, bland, 80s throwback tunes?
Jason, you have hit the nail on the head. Elektra records have ruined what was the most beautiful sound id heard in a long time. The last album renewed my faith in good song writing and delivery. I am old enough to remember the 80's first time round. This Debbie Gibson come Karate Kid soundtrack nonsense had its day 30 years ago!!!
Agree. This isn't what I expected at all. :/
I think the two new songs sound very different initially, but if you picture them within the context of a live performance amongst some of their other songs, then I think they'll blend nicely. Need to wait for the rest of the album of course.
I loved the song <3
I was so excited for this album , It really hurts me when I saw Milo Greene the band that always was unique and different do something poor like this , come back Milo Greene for your fans , the old fans .. Don't serve bad music for fame ,
I very much liked the song, and I think the video was flashy because lyric videos are hard to make interesting. Was there any thought about the effect of this video on people with epilepsy? I have no context for that(don't have epilepsy) and it could be completely irrelevant, but I found myself scrolling it off screen because it was irritating, hopefully I'm the only one! Awesome work on the music though :)
not what you used to be. sad face.
I like their new sound, but for different reasons that I love their old sound - the first album made me feel nostalgic and dreamy, but from what I've heard of their new album it's more energetic, 'pump up' kind of music. I love both kinds for different reasons, so I'm super excited to hear the rest of the tracks on 'Control'. :)
missing the old sound:(
Love the new sound. I saw them a few days ago in Nashville and their performance really blew me away. Yes, this album is different than their first, but it's still fantastic. Art is about experimenting, growing, pushing boundaries -- and that's what Milo Greene is doing.
Art is a about progression not regression. I dont think we will see Banksie start doing Turner and Picasso reproductions anytime soon. There was no need for them to do 80's synth pop at all. They had something beautiful to build on, not bin and reinvent themselves. Sorry to disagree, opinion is everything and i do respect yours.
@Stuart Wells
Maybe, you're regressing... Who knows?
Indeed, anything is possible.

That's good. That's damn good!
Sounds like a 80's movie montage tune. I, much like many others, enjoyed their first album. However, I'm not feeling the first two songs they've released from their upcoming album, and I consider myself a fan of all types of music. Some bands have successfully changed their sound and created groundbreaking music, but In my opinion, this is not the case, and I feel their new sound is a big miss. Kudos for doing what you want and best of luck though.
It's cool to see you guys branch out from your first album. But, the past two songs you've released just aren't interesting or as captivating as any on your first album were. The intimacy is not there anymore. Just another folk-oriented musical outfit that had the claws of 'popular standards' stabbed into them. The same thing happened to Ed Sheeran. It's a bit sad, really.
Loving this album so far!
