Millsap, Parker - The Very Last Day Lyrics
I wanna feel
That Great Atomic Power
When it yields
That final fiery shower
Ain't no shield
But I won't cower
When that eruption
Lays us all to waste
Gonna clutch my heart
And lift my face
Watch that mushroom
Rushing up to space
Gonna sing Amazing Grace
Ain't no reason
Being so afraid
You can try to hide
But it's gonna get you anyway
When I see that cloud
Gonna sing out loud
Lift my hands and say
Praise the Lord
It's the very very very last day
Ain't no sweet chariot is gonna come
For to carry everybody home
No instead it's gonna be a bomb
And here it come…
You know there
Ain't no reason
Being so afraid
You can try to hide
But it's gonna get you anyway
When I see that cloud
Gonna sing out loud
Lift my hands and say
Praise the Lord
It's the very very very very very very very last day

Millsap, Parker The Very Last Day Comments
Had a chance to see Parker in Denver in August of 2019 really small venue it was amazing if you have a chance to see him on stage do it he will not disappoint.
I have that album and it's one of my favorite albums that I have and I have albums of the likes of Randy Travis,Willie Nelson, Merle, and other great country artist and even some rock bands
Truck stop gospel
To me he is reminiscent of Buddy Holly not in the song content but the brilliance of the artist. I am a believer and I am a Atheist. OD CD 206 Just for others thats Old Dog from Central District 206 is the area code meaning Seattle. Trust me it is a city in Washington State a part of the USA. I swear
I love parker
just saw him at a street fest in Chicago. great live. powerful lyrics
just heard this band for the first time this evening on Austin city limits...yep...they're the real deal....
Very Nice 🎼🎶
I'm screaming oh my god loveeee him so much!
so incredibly talented
My friends and I saw him in concert tonight and it was amazing! My friend's mom helped out with the venue and actually booked him so we got to go back stage, and we had the chance to talk to him,and he's so sweet!! Kinda obsessed now :)
He makes me feel that i'm not afraid.....
What a talent! Thanks for sharing!!!
Fantastic performance!!!
The chorus sounds suspiciously close to the chorus of "Rocky Mountain Way" by Joe Walsh...
Saw him for the first time 2 years ago when he was opening up for Patty Griffin, I've been a fan ever since!
I came here because of Elton John's endorsement. Great act they've got here. :-) Good stuff.
Keep it raw and real.
I met Parker
I need this on Spotify! Will it be on the next album?
You could just buy his music
@Warhawk Ok grampa, like in ye olde days.
@bj0rn Well streaming services don't really play the artist fairly. So just buy his music from iTunes or whatever
I saw Parker play a buddy holly song at his middle school talent show... He was this little short kid with a telecaster, if I remember correctly.... But he was shredding lead guitar.... And i thought "this kid is going to make a great guitarist someday.... " But I didn't foresee this.... I have video footage from that talent show that I should upload....
Please upload that video. I'd love to see it, and I'm sure millions of others would too. Thank you!
You're quite a few years older than me so we never really talked much but I remember you mowing my lawn for my mom and I remember how our neighbors would grumble about you and your band practicing into the late hours of the night. I also remember annoying the hell out of you with my friends by sneaking across the street to yell "We love you Parker!!!" at your house and then running to hide so when you opened your garage door, you wouldn't see us. Probably like 8 years ago. Now look how far you've come. So so so so so proud.
Stefani Johnson that's stinkin adorable.
Congrats Parker! So glad to see him getting more nationwide recognition. First heard Parker a couple years ago on KPFT in TX singing End of a Rope and instantly fell in love with his music. Saw him a couple times in person and he was even better than on the radio. Amazing singer/songwriter/musician whose lyrics and songwriting are way beyond his 23 or so years. Wishing much success!
i thought it was Lars Ulrich.
Got to see them in concert last April. Fantastic show. They opened for Houndmouth.
If Leonardo DiCaprio was a singer
that violinist beard game is real:) but in all honesty he almost has the same voice as Steve Smyth.
similar sounding voice as jeff buckley
Aw I saw him at a festival a couple of years ago! so cool that he made it on here :)
Love the song. Great voice. Wonderful performance.
Accidental click that I don't regret
Conan is literally my fave now for showing this 😍
wow loving this!!
Hey. Not bad. Not bad
go parker go! and Mike rose too! I grew up with parker, I'm so glad to see him up there
Sr.Joestar How cool! I love seeing talented people from Oklahoma 😄
I have been following Parker Millsap since you started I saw him on a little church on the Eastside of Fort Worth drink a little wine but the small group he is a doll love his music
the voice really reminds me of jeff buckley.
@Rolf Smitherines what, hungry for attention?
nah not for attention. brain food
@Rolf Smitherines yeah, you really need one.
thanks for the few seconds of slight hilarity
@Rolf Smitherines no problem bro.
I have no idea what genre this would fall under, but that was genuinely interesting to listen to and his voice is impressive.
Folk/Americana
I think its mix... blues folk-rock ;-)
gospel blues
Rock&roll, Americana, folk
Amazing job Parker!!!! -Mallory Jackson
Not bad at all
Reminds me a bit of Jeff Buckley.
it's the voice huh?
Yep. There's also a touch of young Elvis. Mind blowing. They're fantastic.
i just said that
My comment is older than yours... looks like we share the same sentiment :)
Horrible sound, like arcade fire meets Mumford and sons with country. Disgusting.
Wow! I actually think it's amazing.
to each their own buddy, music is subjective.
@stepasidejesus True.
You described the sound perfectly, but a lot of people are into that.
+Raz 1138 Yeah and that's fine, just not my cup of tea, only my opinion.
Great job & song selection. . . very intense! "Amat victoria curam"
This guy's voice reminds me of Jim Morrison. It's raw and great really.
oh yes!!
I actually enjoyed this. Intersting group. Now I'm off to start a kickstarter to help him afford some tape to keep his eyes open. But seriously, cool performance.
NickMach007 jealous.
I have a dream, the day we actually make good musician famous, and not the crapy teens with the poor skills.
The Anti-Bieber?
I actually prefer to listen to good music in small venues and not some bloody concert hall with 10k+ people
Perfect description
Alan Lennon
I have a dream you will be able to spell 'crappy' on that day😉
Good music
I'm so excited for him!! I love Parker
😍
