Miller, Roger - Ringing Up Rosie Lyrics

Me and old Rosie we go back a whole lot of years
We've had some laughter and we've had each other in tears
Rosie and me are somewhere between lovers and friends
I need me some cozy and I'm ringing up Rosie again

Well I just got in town and it's twenty five minutes till three
But I bet a pretty that pretty girl's waiting for me
Cause she know's it's Monday and Monday's I always book in
I need me some cozy and I'm ringing up Rosie again

Rosetta whoa oh my Rosetta whoa oh oh oh
You're the one girl who's in my dreams
Me and old Rosie we go back a whole lot of years
We've had some laughter and we've had each other in tears

Rosie and me are somewhere between lovers and friends
I need me some cozy and l'm ringing up Rosie again
I need me some cozy and l'm ringing up Rosie again
Rosetta whoa oh my Rosetta whoa oh oh oh
You're the one girl who's in my dreams

Everytime I hear his voice I can't help but think of Disney's animated Robin Hood. Roger voices a charachter in the movie.

    Nostalgia is a liar.

    K.... B....

It usually is. But not when it comes to poetry. There`s no human spirit in contemporary music, is it?

This is such a sad song now that England has surrendered to islam.

I was born in 1961. This was the FIRST music that I remember, because my mom was a huge Roger Miller fan, and she played his music all the time in our home. Next came the Beatles! What an awesome mom she was. Man, do I miss her.

I was also born in 1961 and remember this from the radio. Mum was into Brenda Lee and Roy Orbison, always playing their albums on her little record player.

Hey Hoss, sorry to pine in on your conversation, but, Roger Miller ended up with lung cancer didn't he? Also I agree, definitely one of the best, have to be in the top 5 of all time.
