Miller, Roger - Old Friends Lyrics

Old friends, pitching pennies in the park
Playing croquet 'til it's dark, old friends
Mmm old friends, swapping lies of lives and loves
Pitching popcorn to the doves, old friends

Old friends, looking up to watch a bird
Holding arms to climb a kerb, old friends
Old friends, lord when all my work is done
Bless my life and grant me one, old friend
At least one, old friend

Old friends, looking up to watch a bird
Holding arms to climb a kerb, old friends
Old friends, lord when all my work is done
Bless my life and grant me one, old friend
At least one, old friend

So not even Roger Miller had a life time loyal friend ("old friend"), not even one. and he was the nicest guy in the world.

mr. warmth Actually if you knew country music you would realize this is Roger Miller, Ray Price and Willie Nelson. So you’re 33% correct

    m.... w....

@Michael Pollan *Glenn Campbell, not Ray Price, if I'm not mistaken.

Wow. Did you work on being that clueless or did it come natural? Miller was born in 1936. See if you can figure out how long ago that was? Oh, and also, considering that you're completely incompetent at even the most basic grammar, you're REALLY not in any position to comment on anyone else's spelling, particularly when it's a fairly obvious slip on the keyboard.

I feel like we all just met in a bar, and exchanged a few stories as fellas will do, and some young punk that called himself MoonEyes walked in, and we all just laughed and he cowered off in the corner of the place like a dog with his tail between the legs, and we just kept sharing those stories about how great Willie and Ray were, and how Roger Miller was the most underrated country music songwriter of all time.......... Yep, that's how I feel.
