Miller, Roger - I'll Pick Up My Heart (And Go Home) Lyrics

Once again you've got me cryin'
I'm a fool if I let this go on
You can hurt me without even tryin'
Think I'll pick up my heart and go home

I can see the first signs of autumn
All at once all the flowers have gone
Suddenly I feel so forgotten
Think I'll pick up my heart and go home

Someplace where you'll never find me
A place where I can leave your memories behind me

Once again you've got me cryin'
I'm a fool if I let this go on
You can hurt me without even tryin'
Think I'll pick up my heart and go home

Miller, Roger I'll Pick Up My Heart (And Go Home) Comments
  1. T.... ....

Roger could do both tragedy and comedy; apart from this lovely song he also crafted 'The Last Word In Lonesome Is Me', 'Lock Stock And Teardrops', 'When Two Worlds Collide', 'Invtation To The Blues', 'Husbands And Wives' and my own personal favourite of his, 'When A House Is Not A Home.' Amazing how he could mix two so different styles and succeed so wonderfully. Such a talent.
