Midland reminds me of those bands that there words are hard to make out at times.like a Pearl Jam for example. The beginning of the song not two words in and it sounds like he’s say fast “tarts” and slow towns instead of Fast “hearts”. I think they still are an ok band though.

This is pure gold.  What the newer, commercial record execs and their new "country" hip-hop artists just don't get is that it is not the slight twang and not the steel guitar that makes a great country song, although they certainly are a large part of it.  No, what makes a great, timeless country song is the story that most every listener can relate to, something they themselves witnessed or experienced coupled with an emotional and sincere delivery.  It takes you back, it lets you ask yourself "What if", it makes you young again, even if for only 3 minutes and 22 seconds.  This song will be as fresh and new 50 years from now as it is today.
