Michael W. Smith - Hand Of Providence Lyrics

Providence, Providence
See it laying down the cornerstone
The Hand of Providence, it's evident
For we could never make it on our own
Apportioning the power
Weighing all that it entails
Giving us the fulcrum
And a balance to the scales

[Chorus]
Oh, the Hand of Providence
Is guiding us through choices that we make
Oh, the Hand of Providence
Is reaching out to help us on our way

Providence, ever since
Any thesis ever entered man
The Hand of Providence
Has been our best defense
Tho' his ways are sometimes hard to understand
From the dying of a hearbeat
To another soul reborn
From in between and circling
Our thoughts of love and war

[Chorus]

good music is good music, i enjoy muslim chants as well. if i didn't like music based on the composer's/performer's personal opinions or lifestyle, i probably wouldn't like anyone's music.

Could it be providential that you love this song? lol

You sound so sure of your immortality.

    A.... S....

Hi @Timothy Maynard . I'm not sure you you were speaking to me or not, but I would like to say that I have put my trust in God and have received his gift of salvation offered through the substitutionary death (and resurrection), of His Son Jesus Christ. Therefore, I am confident of my immortality not because of anything I have done or attained but because Christ Jesus defeated sin and death, once for all, (see 1 Peter 3:18 in the Bible), and I have simply received the free gift and I believe in Him. (see Romans 6:23 & John 1:12)

The ducky song!!!! lololol! When I was a kid and first heard this song, my sister and I always thought the beginning instrument sounded like a duck quacking, so we always called it the ducky song, even up through high school and college! I love hearing this again...such good memories, such great music!!
