The love of his life was Diana Ross, some of you don't know that because you don't know Mike. MJ said in his 1988 Moonwalk book that Diana Ross was his first love. He mentioned in the Oprah interview how Diana was someone who could quench his desire and that he always had a crush on her. And he wanted to marry her, he speaks about that in his "Blue Gangsta" song. This song is even probably about Diana Ross, lol. Also, he left Diana in his Will. That "Someone In The Dark" could be God himself reaching out for you to touch off that spark in your heart.....Michael was in a way a GOD of sorts. Not GOD, but A GOD. This is such a sad song too dealing with loss, hope, lonlieness, love, grief, longing. E.T. had those feelings just like MJ.

I wonder if this song is about Michael himself in the dark reaching out for others to love him..not for his talent and the profound showman, but for him as a person as he was so lonely. Also the words "Someone In The Dark"-those words sound kind of mysterious like a stranger or kidnapper.

For me one of Mj's best tracks, but no one knows this song.
