I love this song. I feel he not only sings it to a potential lover but it is also directed at his loyal fans. Listen to the lyrics. He knows how much his fans loved him and I still feel if he and Kenny could have worked out their differences George would still be here today or at the very least he wouldn't have been alone that Christmas eve( his mom's birthday). Or Christmas Day he would have been with someone who truly loved him.
