I like this song, it doesn't shy away from the fact that these problems, at their roots, are class issues. The rich and powerful have no incentive to change things because they aren't the ones affected. Not even climate change is a problem if you have enough money. They'll implement change slow enough to not actually affect them but fast enough to satiate the masses, and eventually they'll just pay for bunkers to ride out the apocalypse that they caused in

I really don't have the words right now, but (in tears) this song touches me deeply. It is what I pray for, wish for, hope for, am in need for, every single day now. The division, hate and just deep rooted stubbornness, along with social media is destroying minds. It is destroying my country. It is destroying lives. If you listen, it actually says the world is a mess. I thought it was going to say "it IS good to be alive today" - which would be about gratitude. But instead it says "what if" and "one day" -- like today sucks, and the video even points to politicians as one reason, and says things can only be good in some future that aligns with his idea of how it should be. That is not about being grateful for today. For this moment. Today is all we have. And there is plenty to be grateful for right now if you look for it.

Yes, it's good to be alive. However, this song is socialist propaganda. There are MILLIONS of jobs at any time. In the US, 99% of people who are poor it is by choice. I've been VERY poor, I worked my butt off, sacrificed a LOT and changed my life. Many people just don't want to make an effort.
