Michael Franks - The Lady Wants To Know Lyrics
Daddy plays the ashtray
Baby starts to cry
The lady wants to know
The reason why
Baby's just like Miles
Lady is just like heaven
When she smiles
The lady wants to know
She wants to know the reason
Got to know the reason why
This man has got to go
This man is always leaving
How he hates to say goodbye
Is there really is no reason
Really is no reason why
The lady wants to know
She wants to know the reason
Got to know the reason why
This man has got to go
This man is always leaving
How he hates to say goodbye
But she doesn't know
Is there really no reason
Really is no reason why
Daddy he hates airplane
Baby loves to fly
The lady wants to know the reason why
Daddy's just like Coltrane
Baby's just like Miles
The lady is just like heaven
When she smiles
The lady wants to know
She wants to know the reason
Got to know the reason why
This man has got to go
This man is always leaving
How he hates to say goodbye
But she doesn't know
Is there really no reason
Really is no reason why

Love this song ❤️
What was you doing in’ 77 ?
I was in 6th grade...trying to understand what the hell was going on, period.
And I so identified with this song...
I once heard or read something a comparison Michael Frank's to old blue eyes the late Frank Sinatra are they kidding take nothing away from Frank's he's good and a nice try but speaking for myself and only having to answer to only one other besides myself,no way Michael Frank's in comparison to the great Francis Sinatra that did just about all singing/acting but just couldn't dance and that I heard what got Sammy Davis jr.another late RIP on blue eyes crap list enough. Back to Michael Frank' whom has his own much different style and sound of voice if only blue eyes was around and tried to sing The Lady Wants to Know I don't think he would be able to carry the note like Michael and that we will never know and I'll back Frank's on that.
Bedroom voice! One of the best jazz artist.
His music is still beautiful- Luv Michael Franks

В это время он начал писать и записывать песни, а в 1973 году записал одноименный альбом, позднее переизданный как «Previous Unavailable», в который вошел минорный хит «Can't Seem To Shake This Rock 'n Roll». В 1975 году Фрэнкс выпустил свой второй альбом "The Art Of Tea", начав давние отношения с Warner Brothers Music. Его третий альбом "Sleeping Gypsy" (1977), в который входит песня "The Lady Wants To Know", был частично записан в Бразилии.
Hey Christina:)
this brutha has a voice that floats. where has these days gone????
Own it all. A collection that tributes to Antonio Jobin.....who sold more albums than the Beatles, who are pretty good!.....Michael Frank's, genius, classic, perfect.
Daddy plays the ashtray
Baby starts to cry
The Lady wants to know the reasons why
Daddy's just like Coltrane
Baby's just like Miles
The Lady's just like heaven ...when she smiles
And the Lady wants to know
She wants to know the reasons
Got to know the reasons why
This man has got to go
This man is always leavin'
How he hates to say goodbye
But what she doesn't know
There really is no reason
There really is no reason why
My parents got me into him
Relaxing music love it
