Michael Buble - Dream Lyrics

Dream
When you're feeling blue
Dream
That's the thing to do
Just watch the smoke rings rise in the air
You'll find your share of memories there

So, dream when the day is through
Dream and they might come true
Things never are as bad as they seem
So dream, dream, dream

Dream
Just watch the smoke rings rise in the air
You'll find your share of memories there

So, dream
Things never are as bad as they seem
So dream, dream, dream

alternate version on Call Me Irresponsible

Dream
When you're feeling blue
Dream
That's the thing to do
Just watch the smoke rings rise in the air
You'll find your share of memories there

So, dream when the day is through
Dream and they might come true
Things never are as bad as they seem
So dream, dream, dream

Dream when the day is through
Dream and they might come true
For things never are as bad as they seem
So dream, dream, dream

I chose this to be be played at my brothers funeral as it spoke for all those who have lost someone so dear. He was my protector, my confident, my best friend. It’s said that love makes the world go around and I’m sure all those who knew him would say the world spun a bit faster with him in it😢 Miss you Jeff xxx

I chose this to be played at my brothers funeral a couple of years ago. He was taken from us all suddenly and unexpectedly aged just 50. He was my protector, my confidante, my best friend. I have no other siblings and my heart aches every day because as a brother, he really was pretty special ❤️ Miss you Jeff, so much xxx

This is really michael buble voice? Really that so nice, he like tenor but like baritone too. What a wonderful his talent from god!

Anybody here knows who originally sang this song?

    R.... S....

Buble certainly was/is a fan of Sinatra, as he's cited him many times over the last decade... He prefers the Sinatra of the 1940's (during his Columbia - Alex Stordahl period) when Sinatra was focused on a more lyrical hypnotically melodic vocal style... Which is evident here in Buble's rendition of this Johnny Mercer classic... though Buble, typically, edits down the technical elements more than Sinatra, and doesn't impress his vocalization with as much attention to diction or note attenuation as Sinatra... There's a clear retro-minimalism present in Buble's ballad singing around the early-mid 2000's, also present in this recording... he loved to showcase his own impression of "lyrical crooning"... which you can contrast with his 'readings' of "The Very Thought of You" and "This Love of Mine" on his latest album (2016)... Harry Mills of the Mills Brothers was influential, and Buble noted this very early in his career... before he became 'famous'... especially notable whenever Buble takes on the American Song Book ballads of the 1940's...

thanks sir!! jazz songs are pretty hard to pin down especially now to younger fans like myself
yeah i noticed, this cover's composition really sounds so way back (without the cracks you usually get like from old records) its must be such a privilege to work with the actual composer. thanks again

    R.... S....

Andy Williams sang it in the 1960s with his brothers in a quartet.

    R.... S....

Well said Patrick. You put in words my feelings about Buble's style very efficiently.
