I still remember the day back in '86 I borrowed this record from a friend at high school (In Auckland, New Zealand this music was rare as Hell). Wow, life changing. I genuinely thought Metallica were a European band. The songs had a classical music element and heaviness missing from most US bands at the time, also missing was the spandex, eye makeup, and the words “Oh baby”.

I think this is by far Metallica’s most intense song, and my personal favorite.
