I was driving home from work last night and heard this song on the radio. I have listened to several variations of this song, but goodness, when the lyric, "Through the years, we all will be together, if the fate allows", I started bawling. My grandpa passed away on Dec. 27th 2015, and while I thought I had got through the pain of losing him, an overwhelming sense of sadness came over me last night. Christmas was his favorite holiday. A week before he passed, we were out Christmas shopping for candy, presents, etc., and he came along as he rode around in the electric wheelchair. He was talking and enjoying every minute of it. Then, on Christmas Eve, possibly a few days prior, I was giving him a gift, and he looked at me with a wink and said, "We'll open the presents on Christmas morning." He didn't make it. So, I say all of this, not only to get this off my chest, I realized I miss him more than ever on the 4 years since his death. Thank you to whoever read this. I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and if you have had a loss in your family, my prayers to you. Thank you, MercyMe for recording your rendition of "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas", it was beautifully breathtaking. ❤
