Mendes, Sergio - Stillness Lyrics

Every morning stillness meets me
Sitting on the window ledge
It calls the day to wake up
And defuse the dew drops
Waiting lazy in the hay

Every evening starlight greets me
Sifting through the window shade
It calls the day to close up
And transfuse the dew drops
Waiting lazy in your way

Lani you have the most amazing and haunting voice in modern history.

One of the greatest vocalists singing such a simple, brilliant song. What more could you ask for?

Just an amazing LP from start to finish. This Album's been with me for 30 years and I'm still not tired of listening to any of the beautiful tunes on it.

Del album "Stillnes" (1970) Brasil '66 estaba formado por Mendes a los teclados, Bob Matthews al bajo, João Palma a la batería, Jose Soares percusionista, Lani Hall y Hansen Janis voz y Sergio Mendes al piano.

No, Antonio, Brasil'66 had changed since 1968 . The line-up was: Tiao Neto (b), Rubens Bassini (perc.), Dom Um Romao (d) and Lani Hall & Karen Philipp
    on vocals.

@daniel doan Actually Daniel, from this album Dom Um was replaced by Claudio Slon and Laudir de Oliveira(perc.) came in on top of Rubens. I think this is the last record that Lani was on and also the last record with Brasil'66's name on it cause from the one after this album it became Brasil'77. Guitarist Oscar Castro Neves who's also playing on this record became a part of Brasil'77. There's one song on this album called "Lost In Paradise" has Gracinha Leporace as the lead who replaced Lani with Brasil'77. She told me this song was originally cut for a project for the group "Bossa Rio" which happened to disband and this cut ended up in this album as an introduction for Gracinha.
