Mendes, Sergio - Scarborough Fair Lyrics
Are you goin' to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to the one who lives there
He once was a true love of mine
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to the one who lives there
He once was a true love of mine
Are you goin' to Scarborough Fair?
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to the one who lives there
He once was a true love of mine
Are you goin' to Scarborough Fair?
Remember me to the one who lives there
He once was a true love of mine
Scarborough Fair
Scarborough Fair
Scarborough Fair...

Lani Hall rules!
Heavy Traffic great movie
Lani Lani Lani !!!
Lani looks perfect in this photo!
Always loved this Group! Miss Lani has the smooth vocals & a beautiful voice!
Sergio Mendez's contribution was the arrangements, his impeccable taste. He created this group with these people to make this sound. The vibe, the groove-just eternally hip and cool. They were a bridge between jazz, pop, bossa nova and rock music. Sergio had world class jazz piano chops. Before Brazil 65 and 66 he had been gigging in New York with many of the bebop jazz legends. Just the epitome of taste, groove, vibe and cool.
old song but still good one ! 색다른 접근법을 보여주는 노래
Which is Lani?
The blond or the brunette?
Brunette
@Bill Shooter But in duet with the other girl, FANTASTIC!!!
suka suka became happy :)
never gets any air play in 2019 :(
I have always enjoyed listening to them. Grew up with their sound and as stated here.....they had their own unique sound taking a song and changing it to their own.
Lani Hall so sexy, great voice.
With all due respect to Art 'n' Paul, this rendition is better -- the best of any, in fact!!
I'm going to Scarborough Fair is Lani Hall is going.
SERGIO, THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL LOVE SONGS,.
Much, much better arrangement than original song! WOW
Timeless, haunting and spooky.
that electric piano solo in the middle ........
This is where the doors got Riders On the Storm
Morrison was well-known as a lover of easy-listening cover versions
@Dan G Correct!
Thank You, Mr. Mendes for 50 years of Bossa Nova!
This song takes me back to my youth and listening and dreaming about being in Brazil wow! I love this group when music was real and genuine!
this is a great picture
I feel really out of place in this time period. this music is amazing.
z Freistatt <3

Nas - Mastermind (9th wonder remix)
How about you learn to play some instruments and write your own songs?
i'm listening to this for the 20th time today, lovely piece of music.

Here because of Heavy Traffic.

Sadministrator sad is in your name

TheExodvs correction: nobody who isn’t also a loser gives a shit
loooooooooooooooooooooooooove!
Scarborough fair was no 16 in chart of 1968 for Sergio mendes and Brasil 66 beautiful song
Killin me. I so love this tune. 2016 baby....
I go to Scarborough Fair EVERY year.
WIP in Philly played all their hits. I heard their versions before the originals. Heard this before Simon & Garfunkel. Heard their "Fool On The Hill" and "Norwegian Wood" before I ever knew they were by the Beatles'.
+MrTrashcan1 How do you like Brazil 66's Day Tripper?
Forgot about that one, it may have been their very best. Thanks for reminding me, gonna search for it now.
MrTrashcan1 wip use to play this at night great radio
Well you must have lived under an easy listening rock then
Simply wonderful. I grew up in late 60s listening to this. Such a shame Brazil destroyed itself since then.
Sergio "gênio"mendes.
I can't think of any female singer that can top this....with all do respect to S &G this version is better I just melt when I hear it....
There are TWO singers!!
Sergio Mendes & Brasil '66, had forgotten about them.. Wonderful music....
As a young boy the ladies voices made me close my eyes and think of angels.
+Bob Lewis Nowadays if you close your eyes and listen to today's pop music, all you can think of is just some attuned tramp from hollywood. Its a real shame.
you're a god
Heard this in the Heavy Traffic trailer.
nobody gives a shit
@Dan G I give a shit. I'm glad they said that.
the way she sings "remember me" has lived with me for over 40 years...
I agree 100% - it's been 50 years for me.
Herb Alpert is one lucky guy...
From the movie 'The Graduate' by Simon & Garfunkel, this version is 'the bomb'!
Never thought about this excellent version of the Simon and Garfunkel hit compared to Riders but this came out in '68. Riders came out in '69 or '70.
+Ollie Bivins Riders came out in 1971.
A classic "re do" from the fall of '68. Great singers and instrument playing.
Sergio Mnedes e sua turma conseguiram, imaginem, fazer melhor que Simon and Garfunkel. FERAS!!!
They took great songs and made them their own. I grew up listening and won't stop.
Made them better.
Yes sometimes made them better. My mother and Father would listen all day 50 years ago, there was an EP with this track on.Didn't get it at the time, but I do now.CLASS ACT.
glad I found this ,,,dreamy
TOO SHORT AN ENDING, Sergio!!! Just too short!
Sergio Mendes version of this song and Simon and Garfunkel's version are the best I have heard.
Such a simple and beautiful song and great rendition toad to the Simon and Garfunkel version. I have come to regard Lani Hall as my all time favorite female vocalist.
Yes she has a gorgeous, jazzy voice and also looks beautiful.
@Maryellen Dawson They are sooo good TOGETHER!!!
Sounds a lot like "Riders on the storm " by The Doors. Wonder what came out first.
Allen Albright, This came out 1st. But it does sound like the piece you mentioned....
Exactly!!!!!
Allen Albright
in interviews Densmore (Doors drummer) said the Brazilian sound -Bosa Nova- was gaining popularity and they incorporated that into their music- specifically the drums on 'Break on Through' .. but Im sure in other joints/ songs as well...
No it doesn't you better listen to the doors again.
Allen Albright .plagium
This group had it all together, no other way to put it. Have loved their
music since '64. LOVE the instrumental from 1:30 to 2:20.
The instrumentals are great, but these women's voices are what make this recording amazing.
this is like the only good thing that came with heavy traffic. without that stupid movie i never would have heard this awesome version of this song.
@Leah Cox Ralph Bakshi is widely considered a creative genius, and Heavy Traffic (among his many works) a cult classic -- and yeah, Sergio's version of Scarborough Fair is awesome!
@Leah Cox beautiful movie though, watch it again and try not to see a perverted cartoon
I really do appreciate his willingness to experiment with animation. I think wizards though is much more interestingly animated he really branches out with different visual styles in that one. I just cant say i like heavy traffic
Leah Cox I agree with You! Terrible cartoon! I'M Brazilian! God bless you!
Further to the music, I liked the young Lani Hall photo very much.
