I first heard and saw the Melvins live in the concrete basement of a warehouse in the dirty south. I slid in with some people I don't even remember whom I was with and
there were these guys playing some exquisite noise and they were all dressed in camouflage skirts and I
fell in love.

For some reason Buzz’s mumbling at the beginning reminds me of that one fucking horrendous dancing pig abomination from chowder

I have this album on vinyl.

I feel like "guardians of the threshold" by GodheadSilo (1996) was taking the idea from "if I had an exorcism" (1991) and took it a step further. (I mean this part at 1:18) Additionally, titles of both songs deal with an esoteric subject and Melvins and GhS were buddies. Never seen this connection before. Or maybe there is no connection and, well, great minds think alike.

does this song remind any one else of the pixies? not saying its a bad thing, just the way the song transforms, its very pixies. especially the lead in to the second part. love this song so much!! 

for the most part fuck yes, especially the beginning when he talks and the end with the one constant string. i was totally reminded of them.
