I went to John's concert in WPB, Fl, in 2000. A girl in the crowd next to me was dancing the same way as the girl in this video. Look at all John's videos. The people all dance the same way. The music must make them dance like that, really cool.

I've always loved John's music and I really love this song too. He's inspire's me to be a better singer, song wriiter and drummer. One of the things that makes him great is that everything he does comes from the heart.

The whole CD took me offguard and I have been thrilled with it. I am a casual fan of John's work yet this has been enchanting and his refinement shines through. I have bought the CD for my parents and friends.Buy it and get lost in the richness of this organic work.

This is, without doubt, some of Mellencamp's best work....but will be rejected by corporate FM radio that's been in a damn rut for twenty years. There are lots of good tunes on this one...I think that Johnny Cash may have passed through the studio when John was recording this jewel.

@cookingfordads The track he recorded in his studio and the song at the 414 Gunter Hotel were on one mic. for the Sun studio tracks, he wanted to mic it as closely to the way the studio was mic'd for Elvis and Cash.

A typical guy I am, pulled this up to enjoy videos of the new album & end up gawking at the dancing cutie, ha ha. She must be too good to be true--a 20-something who dances to this song not Jay-Z etc and no tattoos that I can see? No way! It is a good album, I especially like songs #3, #4, #8, #9 and #12 and the "genuine" sound sonically-speaking, although this one (#5) is screaming for a more hi-fi treatment.

Not all super-8 cameras are loud. Even if it IS loud, you can get a blimp for it to trap the noise.

Looks like Super-8 Kodalith or something similar. The vignetting is probably from transferring the film to video with a wider gate than one should use on that type of stock.

@toresbe If you know cinematography (not sure now) you know that super 8 because of its frame dimensions offers the wides depth of field above any film format! Yes above 35mm! You are mistaking this is no toy! it is classified as a professional film format by the industry and by Kodak. It has been use as a toy? yes but not more than any other media.

i've been a long time mellencamp fan and i think this is one of the worst albums he has done. i didn't like the sound of it. he needs to get back to his roots of rock and roll and get off this folk music kick. i mean who knows, he's already had his hits and made his money. maybe he will retire soon.

Great tune to dance in our wooden living room floor, baby... No better than this! We can just lie and have some warm rest in our sofa... We can always let it happen once again... (Anyway, if you don't like you can always get dressed before leaving...)

Great album. The liner notes say they recorded these songs in Sun Studios using only one vintage mic, with no mixing. Funny, but in the video you can see numerous microphones.

Great to see the One Take, all the band in the room, old school bass, tube amps,
